I have been so busy of late and feel as if I have been juggling lots of glass balls in the air unable to let any of them drop and shatter!

A quieter time is now on the horizon and I am certainly looking forward to having some time to catch up - I feel as if I have been only dipping in and out of the site............ oh no I have become one of those members who only log on for the tickets!

Please forgive my inactivity.

At long last I managed to try a Zumba class today. So If I've finally got round to it, it must be due to go out of fashion soon... by the end I felt like a humiliated wet rag but will try to give it a few more goes before deciding whether it's for me or not. Of course I was trying to hide at the back but the instructor advised me to stand nearer the front next time - not sure if I'm that brave!

Referring to opas's post here: http://www.fmuk.org.uk/forum/viewtopic. ... 26#p155626
opas wrote:Those women sound awful, can't believe they still behaved like that even after being told that Beate was in the toilet. How dare they! It's one thing to assume the seat is free but if you have been told it is not, move along! Reminds me of the rude people I had to encounter on the bus in the morning, blatantly pushing in front of those of us who had been waiting. I had to call them out on it, real lack of manners, did their parents ever teach them how queues work? They just looked around sheepishly. Unfortunately they probably wondered what I was moaning about, their 'survival of the fittest' behaviour is just the norm during rush hour. :Embarrassed: They all deserve to be tripped up a_person!
That happened to me on the way to The Help screening yesterday. I waited 20 minutes (which is ridiculous in Central London) to take me to my required train station and just as it arrived, some man who had to run to the bus (so obviously last person waiting) thought about pushing me and everybody else waiting when the door opened. Of course I wasn't having any of that and pushed him back and he also looked at me sheepishly. My entire journey there was just awful and I was ready to impale anyone who got in my way today. Also showed my middle finger to the bus driver today because a) so f**king damn slow and rather unnecessary too b) the bus was not moving. When I asked him "Can you open the door please?" he was just about to refuse and then so rudely pressed the button and showed his annoyance at the mere request. This of course irritated me so I gave a dirty look back. And he shouted, "say thank you then." I turned around and showed him my middle finger.

This goes in line with all the comments recently from mattymc13, raineylb and June with regards to transport. It's just general London transport that just f**king sucks and all this work that is happening as a result of that stupid f**king Olympic is just atrocious. Gosh I hope time flies between May- September 2012. Cannot even begin to imagine the disruption it will cause to the London travel/transport network.

Lol a_person, it can be really testing travelling on public transport. All the shoving and pushing in really irritates me. Sometimes I have been a bit too polite though and I've missed my bus in the process. I've noticed a lot of people (who I assume may be relatively new to London) don't realise that some bus stops are actually request stops so you have to stick out your hand. Sometimes I've held back as I'm not at the front of the queue and the bus has gone past us all as the people at the front assumed it would just stop (arraaahhh!).

Re: The Help Tickets, hoping I can get some for the 18th. Was all fully booked when I looked but hopefully more tickets will be released next week.

It can be? It is testing! Most of the time I want to severely beat the people who get on the bus purely for their lack of manners.

Oh no - those were the sky tickets! Damn it! If I knew, I would have got you a set. Will keep an eye out for you!

Thanks, that's nice of you. Good thing with sky tickets is that people can cancel when they can't make it so there is always hope of a late pair of tickets cropping up (unlike with Show Film First and the like!).

You are right, public transport is testing! I used to avoid getting the tube as I thought the bus was a little bit more sane, but that is getting even more irritating - might as well jump on the tube and get the benefit of its speed as the conditions are almost similar these days. Sometimes I just walk home - takes over an hour but on a nice day it is worth it!
