I went to see Office Party tonight. I had a fantastic time! It was so much fun. It is a cabaret with a difference. Can't say anymore as it will spoil it. Anyway, if you like office parties and cabaret, then you will like Office Party. o/

Back from Jason Byrne, what I saw was funny, loads of seats in circle and many people went to stalls from circle, gutted though as it didn't start at 7pm as stated on tickets but at 8.20pm and I had to leave at 8.45 to catch train. Left at hotel joke. Did anyone else go?

Yes. Shame you had to leave. I probably shouldn't say it didn't finish until almost 23:00 (including 30 min interval).
It was completely daft stuff with lots of audience participation including Byrne climbing into a large pair of pants with two other men and jumping over tiny hurdles with the show climaxing in an impressive skipping display with Byrne and several professional skippers (I did say it was daft). Jason Byrne was on top form however and was very funny. Not exactly revolutionary stand-up but it was just what I needed after a miserable week.
I will however find it difficult to shake the mental image of Byrne's mum ironing out his wrinkled ball-bag (don't ask).

It was really good last night at Jason Byrne. We got tickets for the stalls too.
The guys that went to the toilet as a group lol. Wa so funny when they came back and their seats were gone. They didn't know what to do. Lol
And some really funny joke. Second half got really dirty some quite graphic jokes. (even tho he kept saying 13 year old boy in the front.
My cheeks were sore last night from laughing.
Think I might have to put the DVD on my list to b*y.

I left at the break as well as was worried about getting home, I don't know a lot of his stuff but enjoyed what I saw.

I was a bit annoyed that it said 7pm on the ticket so dashed from work and all that, only to then have to sit around for an hour and a half and had to spend my last few pounds on a tiny drink (note to future Apollo go-ers, take snacks and beverages with you). I went on my own so bored sitting nearly finished me off! I haven't been to see comedy at the Apollo before - it's so huge. I was sat fairly high up in the circle seats so the view wasn't always great and missed a lot of the visuals relating to the stalls crowd, but he carried off the venue well where some people might have been swamped.

It was all fine but I was a bit annoyed in the circle seats because every two seconds people were getting up and wandering around, maybe it was the late start, but that was a bit if a pain because rather than getting caught up in it, you kept having to move or move your head to try see around the moving bodies! Is that normal practice? Were the stalls better? Obviously those 4 blokes notwithstanding!

It's always worth checking venue websites themselves for start times rather than relying on what it says on the showfilmfirst tickets (if I'd done that I would have thought I was going to see Jason Bnyre not Byrne. They misspelt his name twice).
I did that myself yesterday and noticed that the doors were 7pm. Show time was listed as 8pm, so it did start later than it was supposed to. I didn't bother getting there until about 7.50, so thankfully had less time waiting around.

I was sitting in the circle too and there was quite a lot of people who kept going backwards and forwards. Mostly women going to the toilet. It was also a shame that we couldn't see some of the stuff that was happening in the stalls. Still it didn't ruin the enjoyment too much.

Does anyone know if Theatre Royal Stratford is close to the new Westfield shopping centre? I might check it out as I haven't been there yet.

Google maps is your friend: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&tab=wl
It looks reasonably close. Westfield is just to the left of the stations, and the theatre seems a short walk away.
