Had a really great night out last night courtesy of superhero.
Aunty and I went to a Spanish cookery class, where we cooked then polished it all off.
Aunty was happy to hear we were going out for dinner, but then her face fell when I said 'You've got to cook it first'

. However, she enjoyed it when she got there.
The class took place in the chef/teacher's house, which, conveniently, was walkable from me.
There were six of us and it was a nice friendly small group. Some people hadn't shown up.
Obviously being a Spanish cookery class there was a heavy emphasis on olives, which I was slightly concerned about, as I'm not olives' No 1 fan, but it was deeeeeliccious .
We started off by frying in batter queen olives stuffed with manchego cheese.
Annida [?] salad: which consisted of serrano ham, chorizio, grilled sardines, white bait, gem lettuce and grilled asparagus, all arranged nicely on a huge platter.
Chicken in a green olive sauce.
Grilled sea bass.
Chorizio and potato salad.
Chocolate truffles with olive pate (I prefer chocolate truffles without the olive pate)
Thanks again superhero. I'd say sorry you couldn't go, but I'd be a two-faced cow, as I'm glad you couldn't, cos I went instead!
