I'm not surprised. I was so glad when it ended. However I am happy I got the chance to see it so thanks ShowFF. I would not have otherwise had the chance. I do like the Savoy Theatre although I do prefer from row D onwards.

I really enjoyed the Sunshine Boys and am very grateful for the free tickets. I find it strange that it is getting such mixed reviews! I guess nowadays people are used to big shows with lots of wow factor, and find it difficult to enjoy the subtleties of a good play with established actors. I simply loved seeing Danny DeVito and Richard Griffiths on stage - such a treat!

trying to decide between Sunshine Boys and just sunshine...

I must admit to being a bit put off by earlier reviews, I dont like 'treadmill' theatre.

edit - in the end I saw ANTIGONE at the NT. Marvellously apocalyptic show, especially since DOCTOR WHO himself was in it! Mr Chris Eccleston is always awesome to watch (though he looks a little shorter in real life than on tv, I noticed).

Thanks to the generous Bibby for the ticket!

We went to the matinee of Sunshine Boys today, thanks to the generosity of cliveas and mandmc10.

I found the first half really slow and was a little bored and kept nodding off! But after the interval, enjoyed it a bit more as things picked up and the set was at the studio and some very old predictable jokes in the Dr's surgery, and then the final act, with its bittersweet irony. The stalls were packed, and lots of hilarious laughter around me, everyone seems to have enjoyed it. They got a standing ovation at the end. It seems OH and I were the only ones not so impressed! :P

I saw the Suit at the Young Vic, yesterday. The set is about as minimialist as it gets, 8 chairs, some coat rails but under the assured direction of Peter Brook (87!), it's a powerful tale of betrayal and infidelity. What is lacking in the set design department, is abundantly made up for in the direction and the charm of the cast. Excellent singing from the cast too. 7.5/10

I've been to see the Hit at Hotel Indigo, I would have to give it 4/10, because the script is virtually non-existent, but this is the most fun you will have with a 4/10 production. It makes good use of various locations within the hotel. I've been to productions, where i've been sent to the bathroom, but I never thought I would be stuck inside the bathroom with 25 other people! Do take your dancing shoes along.

If you are around Richmond at 2.30pm Cirque du Ciel will be holding a free showing outside the Tesco Metro, how exciting!

yeaahh not really sure this River of Light thing is all that, especially now that Scissor Sisters has sold out. I mean, Sheffield's Tramlines has more decent bands on it, and thats completely free and ticketless too, get on night coach to sheffield, queue for concerts, watch bands, get nightcoach back from sheffield >>>>>> anything on at RoL.
