Yes, that's true - I didn't think of that. I think quite a few people with ShowFilmFirst vouchers didn't get new tickets. I saw someone outside who didn't and advised her to go back in to get some. I was really embarrassed about the cancellation because I'd got a friend to come who lives in Epsom.

That is always my fear -- I try to remember to tell anyone I'm taking to theatre/film/concert that it might not work out -- they are always amazed when it does.

Did the whole audience have to queue up to be rebooked? I'd imagine if you went back with the tickets for a cancelled performance on another day they'd swap them.

I'm very careful who I take for the same reason - if they don't understand the rules and/or are unlikely to turn up in good time, I'm afraid they don't get an invite!

Sorry your two had a wasted journey - very good of the Old Vic to rebook them though, I think that's excellent service. Hope tomorrow's performance goes ahead - first time I've heard of a show not going on, but I see how it couldn't have been helped.

Poor understudy - so very nearly got a chance to shine!

They were given tickets for Thursday (I am quite amazed as they certainly did not have to compensate anyone with free tickets) as well as a free drink. Husband and I are scheduled to go tomorrow so wonder what is in store for us.
If people are being rebooked, I wonder if tickets are still available for people turning up with SFF tickets for another day? I have tickets for tomorrow.

Well, ejwrank's children are now going on Thursday - there never was a code for Thursday. I suspect one way or another you'll get to see this.

Saw Winslow Boy last night courtesy of SFF and we got excellent seats in the centre of the stalls. Despite the play being quite long (2 hours 50 mins) the first half just flew by and the final scene before the interval between Sir Robert Morton (a fantastic performance by Peter Sullivan, who was the highlight of the production for me) and Ronnie (an also excellent performance by Charlie Rowe - I can't believe he's only 16 years old!) was mesmerizing. Unfortunately the second half never truly lived up to that final scene of the first half and did drag a little at times but overall it was a solid production and I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. 7.5/10

Saw Once, the musical last night (not a freebie but a decent preview priced ticket direct from ATG). What a lovely piece of theatre with an extremely talented cast.
I thoroughly enjoyed this production from start to finish. No spectacular special effects but a wonderful story. You even get the opportunity to b*y a drink from the bar on-stage during the interval. Highly recommended.

I saw this too, but on Tuesday. I got really great seats too, end of the G row in the stalls, and there was no seat in front of me, so I could really stretch out, and a great view. I did not realise how long it was, as I was mesmerised, from start to finish, and even when it finished, felt I could watch more! The performances were all ace, Harry Goodman (the father), Deborah Findlay (the mother), Peter Sullivan (the barrister), Naomi Frederick (the sister), especially, Charlie Rowe as the Winslow boy, as c_t says he was so young still. Based on a true story of a father's fight for justice and to clear his son's name at all costs, compelling, witty and emotional. 10/10
