Oops, I never posted my Houdini review, did I?
We were quite early and watched the red carpet from a distance. Warwick Davis and his wife and family walked past us on the way to the red carpet and I went over for a few minutes when Hans Klok was on it himself to snap a photo to brag to my mom
When walking inside I also wished him good luck with hsi show (in Dutch) and he thanked me.
The "main attraction" felt, as mentioned by people before me, quite repeatative. Hans' bits certainly would've improved a lot had some of it been cut.
I loved the tightrope walker and the two snake people "You and Me" who, with all their incredible stunts and bendy moves managed to remain incredibly graceful and beautiful.
I didn't care for the two men who did the stunts on the pole and the rollerskaters made me queasy after the fall.
Despite it being too long I did enjoy the illusions a lot and kept trying to figure out how they were done. I had my binoculars with me and tried not to blink while things were happening but there were still many I was unable to unravel
One thing that really annoyed me was Hans' accent
It was SO bad for a Dutch person and I caught him saying Dutch words quite often, I would assume for someone who travels so much and has been giving shows in English speaking countries for years he would be better by now.
Overall though, I am glad I got a chance to see this (for free!). I'm not a fan of magic normally, but I felt I should support a fellow Dutchie in a foreign country and that certainly made it more interesting to me. I wouldn't go again quite so swiftly though.
