Thanks to cinefila1, I went to tonight's screening of Love Never Dies at the Mayfair Hotel, with pre-drinks in the Crystal Room, a large room with chandeliers, filled with apparently 200 attendees. I started networking and spoke to a girl who turned out to be an up and coming singer and songwriter, by the name of the Sex and City character, Samantha Jones! That's her real name. I did not know of the connection, but funthing pointed this out!

Back upstairs in the usual Telegraph screening room, the manager of the hotel welcomed us and we then got an intro with none other than Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber - forgot he was a Lord. He came bouncing in and apologised that he was in jeans as he was busy filming all day for his next TV show, in search of another star.

I am a sucker for Andrew's musical, so I thoroughly enjoyed this, even though it was not as good as Phantom, and very cheesy and predictable story, except the ending, did not see that coming. Could see the Ben Elton influence in it as well. The songs can be a bit repetitive but I thought the acting and singing were really good, and also a very good cast. It was very entertaining, and sumptuous. I especially loved the voice from the little boy, he sang like an angel. He was beautiful and so was Christine, and even the Phantom was a bit of a hunk! Anyway, much better than I expected. 7/10

Lovely to see funthing, c_t and bevvy at the screening. Funthing and c_t can sit in front of me any time, they sat so low in their seats as well as the people on c_t's side, that I had a fab view and I was able to sit low in my seat too! I liked the way the film filled the whole wall as well. A really good cinematic experience. Much more comfortable sitting at the front than at the back this time!

I have to eat my words, I actually went to the Project X afterparty last week and had so much guilty fun
I was jumping in the bouncy castle, the bands they had were really great. The film's been such a success, a sequel is on the way.

I was thinking that when I was watching Project X that it would probably be more enjoyable to be at the party than watching it! Glad you enjoyed it! Hope you feel better, but you have only yourself to blame!
