Sunday, 16 March 2014
Time 11:15 in UTC

The Capitol requests your presence at a very important event. Dress up in your finest Capitol Couture and join us at Marylebone Station from 11.15am on the 16th March. Bring honour to your District by arriving in your Panem finery and you could win prizes fit for President Snow himself.

Take inspiration from your favourite Victors and bring their style to life with your attire. Pink wigs, butterfly eyelashes and shiny suits are all encouraged, so grab your prep team and get ready to impress us. The Capitol will assess your outfit, and the best dressed citizen will win a pair of tickets to the Mockingjay premiere later this year.

We’ll also be holding a reaping for many more Hunger Games prizes.

Bring pride to Panem and, as always, may the odds be ever in your favour.

To celebrate today's release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire on Virgin Movies (and also on DVD/Blu-ray), we've been given an amazing competition prize from our friends at Lionsgate: two tickets to attend the star-studded UK premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 later this year!

If you're a Hunger Games fan, you'll already know that Catching Fire is available to watch on demand from today. The first movie in the series was a monster hit back in 2012, and when the follow-up, Catching Fire, made a whopping $864 million at the worldwide box-office, fans set their sights on the home entertainment release so they could experience it all over again. You can watch The Hunger Games: Catching Fire on your Virgin TV now by hitting 'Home' then selecting 'Catch Up & On Demand' and then 'Movies', or watch it online here.

We love The Hunger Games here at Virgin Movies, and we love Hunger Games fans, too. That's why we want to send one of you to the glitzy UK premiere of the next movie, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, later this year! We have a pair of tickets we can't wait to give away, so listen up if you want to take home this awesome prize.

To enter, all you need to do is comment below this blog and tell us:
What would be your Hunger Games survival technique?

Simply leave your comment below and make sure you enter at least one form of contact for us to get in touch should we pick you as the winner. Add your comment by midnight on the evening of Sunday 23rd March. UK entrants only. We'll read through all the entries and announce the winner on Monday! Good luck!

Why Everyone is Talking About Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1
And How You Can Get to See this Blockbuster In the Cinema When it Comes Out in November!

So it's finally happening. After the ground-breaking Hunger Games movie came Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Now Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is scheduled to hit UK cinemas on 21st November 2014.

What's more, you could be in the audience if you're the winner of our latest competition to win £50 worth of Odeon vouchers. Click here to win tickets to see Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.

Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is the third in the series based on the bestselling books by Suzanne Collins. She has written three books in the trilogy: The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay. The books are so successful there are 50-million copies in print in the U.S. alone.

The final book, Mockingjay is being split into two films, much in the manner of the final Harry Potter book, so that every element of the story can be included. It promises to be an explosive finale. And if you win our prize, you could be sitting at the edge of your seat watching it in a cinema near you.
