Re: Fast and the Furious 5: Rio Heist
and part 7 lol the same old plot i should imagine. but they are running out of new stunts and decent film names too. I have no idea what the name of the sequels will be (but if the Rocks in them, it dont matter what their name is! lol).
At my Wimbledon Odeon its hogging four screens on the same thursday!

Re: Fast and the Furious 5: Rio Heist
I Liked it, and I'm not a F&F fan! I can't say I watched all 4 of them before(or may be I did
) But I'm sure I like Fast 5 the most ! (I recall watching the first one on TV couple times, and watching the Tokyo drift and we had a free preview for F&F4, I do remember that!) The plot had some good twists and the car stunts were captivating and unusual this time(for me!), I refer to the ones almost at the end of the movie. I think on Odeon website it has 5 stars and I agree with that, in spite of NOT being the target audience!!!

Re: Fast and the Furious 5: Rio Heist
Decided to go and see this yesterday. I've only really seen the first film properly (at a free preview no less), half-watched the 2nd on Sky Movies but haven't seen 3 or 4. So I'm not exactly a huge fan of the franchise.
I thought this was pretty good but way too long. After a stunning, if completely daft, train sequence the film seemed to drag a bit with the occasional bit of light action to liven things up before the excellent and still completely daft final action sequence. If it had lost about 20-30 minutes it could have been the perfect guilty pleasure. At 130 mins long it takes too long to tell a pretty basic story but still had enough watchable moments to make it worthwhile.

Re: Fast and the Furious 5: Rio Heist
I went to see this yesterday, and really enjoyed it. I have watched the previous 4 films. They all follow the same formula - fast cars, marvellous action sequences, good guys v bad guys - but it works. It's a good action thriller, which is a lot of fun. There were some good lines and I liked the banter between the various pairs of the team.
7/10 from me.

Re: Fast and the Furious 5: Rio Heist
I watched it last Friday and i loved it! I also have to say for people who not seen the film, stay after the credits becuase theirs a scene that hint what the sxith people could be about.
Re: Fast and the Furious 5: Rio Heist
Not sure why I bothered, this is the same film all over again, just different location. Testosterone overload, a very predictable plot, and cheesy lines you’ve heard a hundred times before like “we don’t have much time!” or “something big is going down!”
I like Dwayne Johnson but clearly they hired him for his muscles not his acting! The Brazilian policewoman at least added a little bit of soul to an otherwise bland and dumb action flick. Oh and that final chase sequence
ripping the bank vault out of the wall and dragging it down the street...
was just plain stupid. At best 5/10

Re: Fast and the Furious 5: Rio Heist
I went to see this on Sunday at Wandsworth. FINALLY, after FOUR movies, this franchise realized what kinda movie it was and took advantage of it. It has more story than the the previous three movies, almost feels like Ocean's Eleven, but with a lot more action.
However, Don Omar and Tego Calderon chemistry steal the show.
Even though they hardly speak english in the movie their chemistry shines and got kinda cheesy and predictable with Rock and Diesel for a few minutes but still loved it! 7/10
