Yes it was nice to see so many FMUKers although no one had kept us seats! We were there at 3.30pm sharp and had to fight to get two seats in the back row, then discovered all the other FMUKers were sitting in front of us. We would have been 15 minutes earlier but OH forgot to bring our bottles and my umbrella so we had to go back, and then he missed the train at Canary Wharf which I had just about hopped on, so had to wait for him to arrive at the cinema. It was the Sky Superscreen which has brilliant legroom and a nice incline. But what is wrong with those seats? Anyone moves and the whole row shakes which is especially unfortunate when you have a hyperactive kid to your left and a girl with wiggly leg syndrom to your right! Unfortunately we missed it when they opened the back so we could have sat there (I think valda and aruif were late enough to take advantage) but we got huge water bottles and toffee popcorn, which I immediately passed on to valda.

The film was cute but instantly forgettable I thought, although it seems to have been received well, and the final scene sets it neatly up for Kung Fu Panda 3. Maybe you had to have seen the first part, but I thought Po's motley crew of friends were rather strange, and the story with the mean peacock wasn't too engaging. I had however two important messages: it doesn't matter if you are adopted, it just matters that you are loved; and it doesn't matter what happened to you, it just matters what you do with your life now.

3D as usual totally pointless and too dark.

6/10

I hope valda has enough popcorn for a week now.

Too tired to really appreciate this to be honest after X-Men FC this morning and countless long tube journeys.
Was it just me or was the 3D image even darker than usual? I don't think that helped my tiredness and I briefly drifted off a couple of times and found it hard to enjoy it more. I'll definitely try to check it out in 2D at some point in the next few weeks.
As well as the darkness of the image ruining the bright colours, I thought the 3D was largely pointless anyway as usual. Apart from a couple of scenes where it was used fairly effectively. Studios really need to stop using it now, I think even audiences are starting to tire of it as well. It's a shame as I was enjoying most of what I saw.

Wait... did I see you? I was looking but I don't remember O_O

I really enjoyed this movie, thought it was funnier than the first one (which I liked, but not loved) though I may have nodded off once or twice *shifty eyes* Not because it was bad by any means, I was just tired...

And how cute was baby Po in the beginning? <3 I may have said "awwwwww" out loud.

I thought the 3D was actually quite good - it works so much better in animation than it does during a regular movie. Some of the effects really stood out (like when Po has those beans (?) in his mouth)

Wow The O2 was packed! We got there not that long after 4.30 after Beate called me to say its was full. First of all we were about 3 rows from the front. The children were not happy, then I noticed that the balcony was open so I asked if we could go upstairs. the Usher was a bit iffy then this big guy came and asked, and he reluctantly agreed. Upstairs was lovely you even had little tables between the seats.

I really enjoyed the film, as did my friend and the 8 year old, sadly the 5 year old was really tired and a bit fractious and eventually crashed out. The 3D wasn't too bad, big thumbs up to Cineworld for having childsize glasses, but still the film was not as colourful as one would like. Oh, I can't beleive the girl in front of us was taking pictures of the film and little videos, all through the sad part too 8O . Should have been thrown out. 8/10

I was at the O2 too, but didn't see FMUKers. I arrive just shortly before the film was due to start, so I ended up seating too close to the screen (3rd row, I think). My bf got really sick due to the toffee popcorn. I was afraid he might vomit on our way back.

As for the film, I thought it was nice, but nothing special. 6.5 / 10

I was pretty bored by this. Didn't help that I was feeling awful after a big lunch and a terribly stuffy tube journey. The story was too boring and the film was far too dim to keep me involved and I struggled to stay awake for a bit in the middle. It was mostly senseless action that I nodded off for here and there, though. I found it difficult to keep track of the characters in these scenes as it's all quite fast paced, but so dim that it was fairly undistinguishable to me. I'll say that it's definitely a cute film, but not one that I would be in any hurry to ever seen again. It's just too predictable and too bland. Films like this help me realise that I'm not as childish as I sometimes think I am. 5.5/10

I was wondering who that was. :shifty:

Anyways got good seats near the top. So Po returns, and we all get to find out why his dad is a goose. The animation is great, it takes us to many different places that the first didn't. It has a good moral, and teaches the power of teamwork and how they work better together, and friendship, and fatherhood. The cast was even better this time adding Gary oldman as the villain was a great choice. Now to the plot, it was great but predictable, and it didnt dwell on which i was afraid of. All in all my cousins loved it so cant complain 6/10

P.S Its official: toffee popcorn is off the list of things to eat at a cinema. :undecided:

Wow, well done! And I thought we had a good score when we managed to all grab an extra bag of popcorn afterwards from seats at the front that had been unused :P
