Re: Troll Hunter
Hopeprince, OH and I made this on 8.45pm on the dot at the Cineworld WIQ. We even got seats in the last row although they weren't all together. It started 10 minutes late after a round of adverts that I ignored but that gave me my breath back. We weren't the last to arrive and we weren't the first to leave as a few people simply walked out. I wish I had too.
My God was this boring. And the room was stiflingly hot so that I started yawning and would have given anything for a little nap but the two annoying black females next to me decided to talk all the way through the film so I couldn't even sleep.
I mean I get it, it was a bit like Blair Witch Project which wasn't real but was meant to look like it was real, and as such they actually did a pretty good job - only that the trolls weren't scary in the slightest. Geez, Astrid Lindgren's books made into films can be scarier than that - anyone ever seen Ronja the Robber's Daughter? Those trolls looked almost familiar - some of the small ones looked like goblins from Harry Potter actually. After a while I simply stopped caring and wished with all my heart that this film was over soon, so I am afraid I got up when there was still one scene to come - sorry to the people I squeezed by but I was past caring at that point.

Re: Troll Hunter
After all that effort you made to get to the screening, what a shame...
Re: Troll Hunter
Congrats for making it on time anyway!

I echo that, well done Beate, you always find a way! Did your OH enjoy it?
There was no way I was going to make it from O2, even if I ran as fast as Hussein Bolt, so I didnt bother. I will still watch this on its release.

My OH enjoys almost anything, although he admitted it was "a bit weird" afterwards.

It should have been shorter by at least 20 min if they wanted to keep people interested but what bugged me the most was the subtitles and how completely off some parts of it was. The context in which the actors were talking around and what was written on the screen didn't match. Since when did "he abandoned his car" become "he is not in his car"

Re: Troll Hunter
Oh LOL, I forgot, some people genuinely didn't seem to know what the secret screening would be!
Re: Troll Hunter
A secret for one person is just common knowledge for Beate

Re: Troll Hunter
OMG What did I see last night or am I just having a bad dream. I can't really tell you what I thought of the film as I am still speechless!! Norwegian scenery was absolutely stunning, apart from that I really do not know where to start and dont think I could put into words what I thought of it, so I won't, 1/10 for the stunning countryside.
Best subtitle of all was "Troll Farts Loudly" - very funny, like we couldn't hear it! LOL
Surprised only 4 people walked out at Sheffield Cineworld. I was there for the duration, sadly!
