Someone next to Beate's OH was also doing that. She did get them to shut up although today I wasn't so bothered as I couldn't give two hoots about the film.

Agree. I found it rather irritating and if that continued, I would have definitely walked out. I absolutely loathe shaky camered films.

No, I didn't take a nap, thank you, I just closed my eyes during the eating and violence scenes as they were revolting. And where is the slapping smiley for the mere suggestion of having wanted to surf the net on your phone during a film? :nono:

You didn't hear me shushing the people next to us twice then? OH said the girl was on the phone the second time - I mean really!

Definitely thought-provoking, but equally definitely better suited as a TV drama rather than a feature film. Having said that I probably would have changed channel if it had been.

Clever concept but poor screenplay/story.

5-6/10 really.

I just realise that I have not given my rating yet. I asked OH what he thought and his puzzling statement was "It was a bit rubbishy, but all in all it was a good film and I enjoyed it." Right then, 5/10 it is.

I can't say I liked this much. Although I appreciated the concept, there were points where I just thought it was awful. The shakey camera scenes and some of the additional clips gave it a cheap and shoddy feel. There were points where it was all too dull and pretentious. The main characters were deliberately dislikeable and it got to the point where I couldn't care for either one. I wanted them to get on with it so I could leave. However, I did find the ending quite poignant and it actually caught my interest when
they went to find each other right before their sight went - those were some moving scenes. In those moments I really did feel for the characters and maybe that was the point - I finally understood their despair and the feeling that it was too late without much hope for rescue
The cinema stayed pitch black as the credits rolled at Greenwich. I'm sure that was not lost on the audiance as we navigated the stairs to leave, well apart from one lady maybe, a woman in my row who got up as the end credits began to roll and proclaimed 'that was crap!' :D Maybe a bit harsh but I didn't feel she was being totally unfair.

An unremarkable 4/10 from me, I would have probably changed the channel if I had been at home and missed some of it's better parts towards the end, so I suppose I should be thankful I saw this at the cinema. That is what I'm telling myself although my vocal near-neighbour would probably think I'm deluded.

Wonder if she is a fmuker :D

It starts off very like the Tree of Life with the narrative bit, but that is where it ends, Tree of Life is positive and full of hope, of what we take for granted, whereas Perfect Sense is very pessimistic but presumably very realistic, about two very normal characters, no heroism, who becomes victims of the epidemic like everyone else. On reflection an extremely moving, and thought provoking film of how we take our senses for granted, but depressing, just waiting for the inevitable to happen, with no relief. 6.5/10

Islington seems really noisy tonight with lots of rustling from people eating. :wall:

So much for having the lights on during the credits for health and safety reasons, as I was told when I complained about the lights coming on before the end of the film, last time I was at Islington, they stayed off until the end of the credits, which is how it should be?

Lovely to see Beate, ejwrank, a_person, MrGlass, ucakpam and soonforgotten. o/

I went to see this at O2 Greenwich today. Bit of a mind f*** film. Found it slightly tedius at times and then became predictible... and not really in a good way. Was slightly disappointed but I really like Ewan McGregor so I guess that helped :-)

Top marks for a unique story (at least to me it was unique). I had no idea what kind of film this was going to be, in fact I anticipated a romantic drama/comedy.

Pity I cant give any marks for much else though...I wasnt bored, just kind of bewildered and very disconnected somehow from whatever was going on the screen. There was a Terence Malick style poetic narrative going on throughout the movie with several WTF moments that drew out some laughs from me...then I realised I wasnt supposed to bloody laugh so hence the bewilderment.

I see a good movie in this but Christ was it boring and tedious. The 2 protagonist were not very likeable which is surprising for me because I actually like both of these actors. I would give it the benefit of the doubt though as I am not sure if I was in the right frame of mind to absorb the pacing of this film. On top of that I was buzzing with finding so many good fmukers around...I didnt think I would find any of them here! Great to see a-person, Beate+OH, Ejwrank, PXC+OH, and a cameo from SF.

Oh Beate I did hear you shhhing someone. And I also noticed you a-person turning your head like a terminator ready to exterminate the really loud munchers (damn were they loud)...you made me laugh girl, when you perched yourself to the edge of your seat, I thought you were going to leap over 4 rows and stab the culprit with your waffles.

But the whole idea and notion of the movie was really interesting and maybe I will give it another chance viewing (I do that with films I dont enjoy first time)

5/10

Oh btw I actually ran to the cinema from home 8.8km. What I didnt plan on doing was running back, as I got into the station, I was feeling a bit depressed after watching the movie so I decide to walk/run home! if you dont believe me, both of my runs are recorded on my runkeeper ;)
