After a drunken house party with his straight mates, Russell heads out to a gay club. Just before closing time he picks up Glen but what's expected to be just a one-night stand becomes something else, something special.
I've just been to see this with a Q&A with the producer & actors. Loved it, it made on a small budget but tightly scripted and resonates whether you're gay or straight. It's in a similar vein to Before Sunrise/ Sunset where you follow a couple for a set amount of time.
They said it's hard getting it into cinemas and to encourage people to go see it so it deserves it's own thread at least.

I think the only cinema Picturehouse in London to show it is the Ritzy Brixton, and I don't know whether any other chains are showing it.

Also was just catching up on an interesting conversation between Charles Gant and Peccadillo Pictures about how well it's doing at the few cinemas it is on atand how they should have booked more.

Saw it at LFF. It's a brilliant film which should be release at more cinemas. I can't believe it's so limited especially with the reception it got.

Heard about this film a while ago because it features The Antlers in the trailer who are one of my favourite bands. Trailer looks really good. Health and essay writing permitting I should be seeing this tomorrow as I've heard nothing but good reviews. Looking forward.

I'm also hoping to go and that the initially limited release is followed by a wider one. From the reviews it sounds like one of the best films opening on Friday 4 but it is competing with many others and is probably considered to be indie or art-house, so let's hope word-of-mouth will raise its profile.

It was filmed in Nottingham too so you can spot locations too. Although it can be quite distracting sometimes when you start recognizing places while watching a film, I found that happening with Four Lions.

You can obviously tailor that to every city.
