I quite enjoyed this. The pacing is quite sloppy and inconsistent in the first half but gains momentum towards the end, and the dialogue is weighted with exposition but the chemistry between RDJ and Law is fantastic. The script is full of wit, humour and charm. Moriarty makes a satisfying nemesis. I especially liked the Ritchie style of slow motion fight scenes. Perhaps not as strong as it could have been but a decent and entertaining sequel. 8/10.

pa*d to see this tonight but was quite disappointed. :tears:
Storyline was all over the place although it definitely settled in the last 30 minutes. It was almost a film of 2 halves except 1 "half" lasted 90 mins and the other "half" 3 0 mins. I didn't like the chatacter portrayal of Sherlock as being almost mad. 8O
If there is to be another one I would not p*y to see it although if it came as a freebie I probably would.

lol mad sherlock, might be the opium addiction. I think they were aiming for 'autistic' Sherlock in the first film (in that he sees what others dont and isnt good with some social skills), but in the 2nd film hes madcap, a new direction entirely.

I liked both interpretations tbh.

I agree! Took me some time to get into it as found the beginning a bit boring, but once I got into it, quite enjoyed it too! 7/10

This makes it my last free film this year on the big screen (used my free Odeon voucher to see this) and brings my film total this year to 133, phew! ;)
