They did. The guy went to the front and said that we were one of the first audiences to see the film and then asked us to wait back because there is a camera outside and he wanted us to leave 5 at a time to be interviewed about our thoughts

Quite a refreshing film - with hints of Heroes and superhero comic classics. Starts of a little "wobbly" literally but I was hooked as soon as they started displaying superpowers, quite a sad film to me too about growing up, friendships and family issues, running along side the excitement and exhilaration when using those new found superpowers, but I agree with what everyone said here about the ending being a bit lame, shame, as there would have been so much potential for Andrew .... 7/10

Sorry had to push you along, Beate, I was absolutely bursting and the stupid security guy barred the quickest route to the loos! Then when I went back for my bag and coat, I just came back behind him! But then made to go out via the camera way, until I complained why can't we go out the back way, and they said it was where they were handing back the mobiles - so I said good, that is where I want to go! Eventually, they conceded that it was sensible to let us out that way if we did not want to be filmed! But what a fiasco!

Enjoyed this a great deal. I thought it managed to take both the found footage genre and the superhero origin story and breathe fresh life into them.

An intriguing set-up pulls you in straight away and I really liked the way the film slowly builds up to an intense and thrilling climax.
Along the way there was plenty of humour to keep things ticking along nicely until things took a darker turn.
The special effects were very impressive and it was visually interesting throughout.

I had some minor issues with the way the found footage aspect was done but for the most part it managed to do it quite beautifully. While many found footage films struggle to justify characters continuing to film something when bad things start to happen, this managed to find endlessly inventive and surprising ways of doing it.

Studio financed films that actually manage to be genuinely surprising and unpredictable are a rare thing these days but Chronicle managed to be just that. A unique and exciting film that fully deserves to be a huge hit.

My dad really loved it too. I was a little worried before hand that it wouldn't be his kind of thing at all but he was raving about afterwards. Thanks again to Ms Thrifty (and Tilly) for the tickets.

Isn't this basically a typical teen indie drama with a clever gimmick? Saying that I still haven't made up my mind whether I liked it or not. I think the gimmick does overshadow the poor plotting in general...

Glad to watch another screening at the lovely Framestore. The seats are so comfy.

I quite liked this. An interesting take on the superhero genre. I liked the handheld camera style, it wasn't as annoying and shaky as Blair Witch or Troll Hunter, which made it less noticeable. It was refreshing to see how immature teenagers selfishly use their superpowers rather than turning into superheroes. This reminds me a bit of Misfits. Perhaps the dynamics of the trio and Andrew's relationship with his family weren't explored enough but the premise didn't require a lot of backstory. A few plot holes but the film gets away with not explaining them.

Some quite hilarious moments mixed with drama and tension. The special effects were quite impressive for such a low budget film. Whilst the big finale was entertaining to watch, I think less of a dramatic climax would have suited the film better. The confrontation didn't need to be such a big showdown with loads of devastation.

7/10.
