This is one of the reasons that put me off going (as I don't like being parted with my phone). And that is why of all the text that was included with the code, I only copied the two sentences that I would expect people to take note of. Whilst I agree with you on being parted with valuable items, as canadian_turtle mentioned - it is a press screening after all. I'm not sure how many previews you've been too but that is a common occurrence at press screenings. I've also had my phone taken from me several times at normal preview screenings too even in shitty cinemas like Odeon Greenwich.GinnyD wrote: Yes, I saw that just now, not before the preview. As many times the tickets disappear within seconds, if I really want to grab some tickets I have to go to the site quickly. So I did that quickly without reading the rest of the message. From now on I will be more careful and read the whole post just in case. To me it is not worth taking any risks on a £400 phone for seeing a film.

Re: This Means War
Lovely to see all the usual FMUKers, Beate, CT, valda (for the third time this week, we must stop stalking each other
), soonforgotten, MrG and MariaLionza. Nice to meet EthanRunt, for the first time.
The security did not bother me, it was all handled really quickly. They are the same security used at premieres, and I even greeted one by name!
Well I thought it was just as good on a second viewing. No hardship as Tom and Chris were gorgeous.
I stand by my previous review :
It was incredibly upbeat, action packed, funny and exciting and a really good script. Very refreshing.
My OH actually gave it 8/10 and he is not one to be generous, so he must have enjoyed it too!
10/10

Also had been told prior to entering a screening that phone needed to be switched off, and if it was spotted would be taken away by security. There's nothing stopping you from taking it in, but just don't get caught using it...a_person wrote: I've also had my phone taken from me several times at normal preview screenings too even in shitty cinemas like Odeon Greenwich.

Where did you find the elusive EthanRunt?
Btw, they showed a trailer for Titanic in 3D beforehand and I had forgotten how much I love this film. So looking forward to this now next week. Weehee.

Re: This Means War
It was like a flashback from the Cold War era, I kept hearing it as in Federal Deutsche Republic. It took me a while to get used to the fact that it can't possibly be in reference to a country that no longer exists and then again statements like - FDR was great in bed -Beate wrote:
What kind of stupid name is "FDR"?
7/10
rang even funnier then probably intended.
Overall enjoyed the film enormously, lighthearted comedy at its best!

Federal Republic of Germany - Bundesrepublik Deutschland - West Germany.
German Democratic Republic (GDR) - Deutsche Demokratische Republik - East Germany - no longer in existence.

I had no choice but to sign (bit over the top!)
I've seen Alvin Chipwrecked / Paranormal 3 special previews with security but no signatures or phones taken off guests. (and other night vision / security @ run of the mill previews)
