All I can say is this is a Joss Whedon script and if you enjoy Buffy and Angel, this will look familiar. No superheros, just the monsters killing people with typical humour in places.

I tried not to read too much about it, but feared it might be a run of the mill slasher movie. The quality of some of the cast convinced me and I'm so glad they did.

Really funny, a few jumps and without giving anything away not your average horror movie. o/
So sorry from me and my friends (you can name and shame them) for ignoring you and your OH, I really can't explain it as we are all very chatty people and have no idea why we all missed you two
Lovely to meet Betty Botter and OH for the first time and we live so close to each other.

I jumped off my seat quite a few times as I'm rubbish at horror films, quite a good film if you like that sort of thing 6/10

I didn't think much of this. Not really my kind of film at all.

And the guy who told us we should move our seats so two latecomers could sit together (there were plenty of seats together at the front but they wanted to sit in the back!) at Islington Vue turned out to be the Duty Manager. He simply refused to listen what we were saying because he tuned us out. He claimed Beate hadn't said a word to him--as if!

Anyway, did you guys seriously find this scary? I thought it was funny! Joss Whedon is clearly a fan of Sam Raimi's tongue-in-cheek horror style.
Glad you survived that horror-fest!

Back to the movie, true... was more of a 'comedy' of sorts than a horror.
the stoner dude kept reminding me of Shaggy of Scooby-Doo fame... which was troubling in itself
Well what matters is that I stood my ground and didn't budge so he had no choice as to leave us to it.

Vue Islington gets worst, and the duty manager tonight is really obnoxious and arrogant. So, so sorry Beate and her OH had to be subjected to that. I stayed behind with ejwrank to see when the lights would go on during the credits, but they did not even come on until at least a couple of minutes after the screen went blank, as when I complained last time that the lights came on 10 minutes before the end of a film, they said it had to come on during the credits for health and safety reasons!

Back to the film. What a load of garbage! Excess blood and gore does not make a horror film for me. A mish-mash of every cliched horror, everything as horrible as can be imagined. It is more a comedy, rather than a thriller horror. There was nothing thrilling for me, it was so full of flaws, and so implausible. You have to really watch it tongue in cheek to appreciate it, I suppose. I liked the actors and thought they did a really good job considering what they had to deal with, and was really routing for them, so 3/10 for that. What a shame I was so looking forward to this as I really like Buffy and Angel.

i saw this in Croydon tonite ... more or less what i was expecting of this type of film ... the regular type of characters: the hunk, the shy boy, the 'wasteman', the 'lively' girl and the reserved girl .. i wouldn't recommend anyone to go and see it .. my sister didn't enjoy the film, but a few of the scenes made her jump!!

Went to see this tonight and found it quite enjoyable. Agree with what's said so far - that it's comedic horror - and was the reason I persuaded OH to go as she's completely not into anything horror. Admittedly I am not a big horror or gore fan, but the fairly light hearted take on the film made me enjoyed it. A few bursts of laughters in the cinema tonight suggest many enjoyed it as well.

Personally like the twist and the pace of the show. At around 90 mins, good length as well.

Would be happy to watch this again, would say it's one of the better films watched so far this year. 8/10 from me.

Sorry we missed you tonight yogi :red: hopefully see you tomorrow.

Nice to see BB and OH again, I think half the back row was made up of fmukers, and to find out we all live so close to each other, small world.

I really enjoyed this, jumped a few times, laughed a few as well, loved the twists in the plot and would recommend 8.5/10, didnt read anything about this before going so no idea what to expect or who was in the film.
