This was silly, ridiculous, and offensive as expected. It won't be for everyone, but I laughed a lot and that's what matters at the end of the day. Aladeen's interview on the red carpet was pretty good too. 7/10

I found some bits quite funny but the film wasn't what I was expecting from the trailer.

I think Borat was a lot funnier and Bruno a bit more daring.. compared to these two, the Dictator played it very safe.

It was daft but hilarious. It was crude, offensive, and rude, but what else would one expect from a SBC film? Some parts had me cringing whilst others had me in stitches. The short running time was welcome but I wish we had seen a few more cameos. 6.5/10.

They really went all out with the red carpet for the premiere and there was an entertaining introduction from General Aladeen (in character).

Enjoyed the dedication 'in loving memory of Kim Jong-Il' and thought the rest was dismal. Then again, Beate would probably say that I am not the target audience for this film.

I particularly agree with this paragraph:
The movie is never as relentlessly funny as Borat (jokes with Megan Fox and Edward Norton miss the mark), yet it packs a sharp satirical edge that's almost unprecedented for a mainstream studio-funded Hollywood comedy. At one point, Aladeen fires off a speech that hammers home the similarities between democratic and dictatorial regimes. It's a brilliant moment, and one that drew an emphatic round of applause from the audience at the film's UK premiere this evening.

I have not seen an SCB film before, but was disappointed that it was not as funny as I was expecting. It was so silly and stupid, and some scenes were just so awful and crass. I thought Aladeen's interview on the red carpet was much funnier.

I saw soonforgotten several times in the pen. I am glad they cut the red carpet short at Vue West End, as it was getting a bit tiresome once you seen the main stars and the interviews, and we were meant to start at 6.45pm, so it was only 10 minutes late in starting.

It was nice catching up with ejwrank and her husband, and luckily they had spare seats next to them, as I was worried that I would be late shooting back from Stratford International, after my London Ambassador's training, and all the back seats would be gone!

I am scarred for life at the image of SBC hurtling towards a window au naturelle! Yikes!

Lots of laugh-out-loud moments and lots of silliness.

8/10

Strangely enjoyed the red carpet scenes too.

I'm not a fan of SBC and really didn't like Borat so I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed The Dictator. I probably still wouldn't p*y to see it in the cinema but I might rent it when he comes out on DVD.

I also thought Anna Faris was very good, it was nice to her playing a different type of character. The Aladeen/Zoe relationship was cute although very predictable.
