Again, film shown in the tiniest of cinemas, only 65 seats.
I must admit I did enjoy the film though at one point I thought it could be used as a teaching aid for trainee counsellors!
Tommy Lee Jones was excellent as the grumpy husband who didn't want any changes to his life. TLJ looking more like Walter Matthau every film!
Meryll Streep was very good as the anguished wife who felt very lonely and unloved despite being married.
Really odd to see Steve Carrell as the therapist . . . no jokes!
I certainly could imagine the film making some couples question "where they are" and "where they are going in life".
I don't think the film would have great appeal to a young audience as there is little "action". In fact, given most of the film involves 3 characters, it could easily have been adapted from a play.
I would not have minded p*ying to see this film but delighted to see it for free!
