a bit hit and miss i think.
i liked hardy's character (but then i just like hardy

), wanted to know more about middle brother and i just could not stand SLB. every time he came on i sort of zoned out. he seemed to be playing same idiot fool role i seen elsewhere... so annoyed he was the focus of the film. and the bad guy just needed a moustache to twiddle, so we could hiss at him. shallow evil guys, cocky good guys. hardy's character was quite interesting just not enough to fill the rest of the void.
i also agree with other poster lots of pretty (aiming to be iconic) images.

Oh, I guess I never commented about this. But yeah, I really wasn't impressed by Lawless and I cannot understand the apparent critical success of it. Such a waste of so much talent.

102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

Thanks so much to mandmc10 for taking me as her plus one.
I actually enjoyed this film. Very watchable and compelling, although a tad violent for me, and the accent is hard to understand! What a great cast in the three brothers, Forrest (Tom Hardy), Howard (Jason Clarke) and Jack (Shia LaBeouf), although he got on my nerves a bit, the sassy barmaid (from The Help), Gary Oldman (should have more of him) and the villan, Guy Pearce. I just love Tom Hardy, who provided much of the humour too, I enjoyed the grunts. The film however does romanticise the bootleggers and Prohibition era. 7/10

Hi Tariq! Just wondering where everybody is that's all. Did not see any FMUKers today. Have been busy with my London Ambassador role the past week, so don't know what is happening with all the FMUKers lately!
