Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007

Saw this tonight at Leicester Square on a cold and wet night.

This is essentially a documentary about the producers Albert "Cubby" Broccoli and Harry Saltzman. The start focuses on Ian Flemming and his inspiration/ life style that led to the creation of James Bond. Some really interesting facts came out which I was not aware of was of Kevin McClory a rival producer who made " Never Say Never Again" and all the legal wranglings between him and Broccoli/Saltzman. Really nice snippets of past Bonds giving their takes on the film and Pierce Brosnan was remarkably candid about his time as Bond and how he got it and how he was fired. The loudest absence was the lack of participation of Sir Sean Connery in this film. This is really going to appeal to a Bond fan.

Nice escapism and looking forward to Skyfall later this month.

I was really excited to see this tonight and thought they would put all the Bonds together, alas they did not, but loved all the Bonds reminiscing, separately, about their Bond experiences and how their career as a Bond ended, shame Sean Connery didn't appear. An interesting insight, from Ian Fleming to the controversy over the Bond rights, to the present Blonde Bond, which I thoroughly enjoyed. 9/10

I sat in the balcony and it was lovely to see a familiar face in cinefila1 and nice to have her and her OH's company, as I was on my own. After the film, I stayed behind with a few others having fun photos taken with the Daniel Craig's larger than life cardboard cut out advertising Skyfall.

I think I would have enjoyed this - hopefully this will be put on DVD at some point.

It was a nice overview of the film/book series, from conception to present day. Hardly comprehensive, and missing Connery's contemplations, but having the other actors discuss theirs and other actors' films is great, especially Brosnan towards the end. Could have watched it for hours, more DVD extra than feature, it definitely gets you prepped for more Bond.

saw this last night and thought it was great to remember all the old bond films and the actors and their experiences, throughly enjoyed it
