Re: Epic
I thought this was gorgeous to look at but a very simple story, I imagine the book is aimed at very small children. Some humour but nothing really aimed at the adult audience. But as I was lucky enough to be able to see this in Leicester Square where we were treated to loads of food and drink before the screening I was well disposed to it from the start!

Re: Epic
Saw this last night (thanks to tsoiboy) at the special Twentieth Century Fox family screening, and it certainly was, with loads of children. Apparently, there was also an earlier screening at 6pm, ours was at 7pm, and those at the 6pm screening had popcorn and some was left over for our screening, but not a lot so we let the children have what was left, and still quite a lot of children did not get any. However, there were still loads of nibbles and drinks, which we could take into the screening.
EPIC was EPIC! A real feel good story, beautiful animation, and really gorgeous to look at. Loved all the characters, really interesting and clever story. Had me enthralled and entertained!
Based on how much I enjoyed it, 10/10

Re: Epic
awesomely vivid. not quite a Pixar classic mind you. Good 3D/
I can see why it didn't get IMAX release - its about little people, which would look silly in BIG lol. Despite that it would be worth watching this on a bigger screen if you can for its scenery and the little/big people ratio meetings, but perhaps in 2d which is the better fit for huge screens. Beyoncé surely needs a fitter character than the one she got.
