The Call

It was a decent movie, with some jumpy scenes. Until the last 15 minutes happened to it - I, along with others at Odeon Covent Garden, simply started laughing. I wonder how you can, as a person involved in the production of a movie, think that this was a good way to wrap up the story.
Do I regret going? No. Would I like to see it again? No. Will I recommend it to friends? With a warning and a side note to watch out for Halle Berry's hair (she should sue).

I have to say I quite enjoyed this film, I wasnt expecting much from the trailer I had seen, but it was pretty tense in parts, thought Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin did decent enough jobs to keep the tension and the movie flowing at a solid pace.

I end disappointed me a little I was expecting a bit of payback to the killer as he was a bit of a gimp!

But overall it was a decent movie i would give it a solid 7/10

Like all others.. even I felt that climax was a waste... The story build up was nice, but the way they ended and the reason behind the crime was just not convincing...

Again same like others.. 8/10 for story execution until climax, 3/10 for climax and overall 5-6/10

Great up until the ridiculous ending

It was a tense thriller, well worked and acted by Halle Berry (who cares about the haircut). It was edge of seat stuff at pace.

Yes, I agree with many comments about the last 15 minutes. But what was the alternative for a film (not real life)? I suppose having the film's tension being shared by a third lead - the cop on the ground, leading the search. (probably played by a name lead). But given its set up, I think the ending was right.

I see it made $60m on a $13m budget in the US. Which is good. Probably suffered as it was "R" rated. But still deserved more. And deserves more promotion here.

I thought this was pretty average telly fodder. Think they just decided to finish it off quickly hence the very contrived ending.

Holloway Road is as awful as ever. Tiny screen -- dreary room. Do some people actually p*y to go there????

This was on track to be an OK thriller, gradually building up the tension, until the last 20 minutes or so which were just ridiculous. Berry did the best she could with a so-so script but what on earth were the writers thinking with that ending? 6/10.

A good gripping movie and very well acted by Halle Berry and by Abigail Breslin (the Little Miss Sunshine has grown up, so proud of her!). The first scene showing the 911 'hive' call centre was fantastic. The ending a little odd and hard to believe. Throughout the movie was intense and absorbing, well worth watching. 7.5/10

There have been many comments about the ending being bad or wrong and I don't see it that way. Its different, and should be judged that way. Its a breath of fresh air compared to the usual endings these movies get. I actually liked it.
The real debate should be about whether or not they really would have done that. Normally it couldn't have happened, but the remote location combined with the fact that the police had already searched and dismissed the area, made it a possible choice.
