Many thanks to mandmc10 for the tickets to Klown, at the Horse Hospital, which turns out to be an art gallery and a venue for film festivals and media screenings. The screening was organised by CUT!, the free monthly film club from Bizarre Magazine, and the audience seems to be regulars and know each other. On your way in, you were given a feedback form, and a voucher to claim your free beer. They then take a photo of you, supposedly for the media to see who attended the screening, but you can decline having your photo taken.

The subtitles of the Danish film were quite difficult to read if there was someone tall in front of you blocking the bottom of the screen, as the screening room consisted of rows of wooden chairs in front of a screen, so no incline, in a hall with art on the walls.

It was a nice event. The film was based on a Danish TV series of the same name, shockingly funny, over the top sex, alcohol, drugs and infidelity, with a great twist at the end! After the film, you fill in the feedback form which goes into a prize draw, which they draw there and then, with prizes of a film poster and a DVD. I didn't win. But a good evening with a free beer! The event finished about half an hour earlier than advertised, unless you stayed to socialise. 8/10

The film is out on 6 December.

Sad that this film is getting a UK release. Saw it back in January, and now it's officially coming out that means it has a place on my worst films of the year list. Not funny, uses shock to try to sell 'jokes', characters are just non-existant and it all revolves around a boy's penis. No sale.
