I used a sweet sunday voucher for this
I really enjoyed this great film! Great acting from Asa also!
I didn't know what to expect and got quite shock. Did not think I would of enjoyed it as much as I did.
8/10

Re: Ender's Game
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"
A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

Re: Ender's Game
Went to see this at the weekend & really enjoyed it, it was darker than I was expecting it to be and even though I'd considered it as a possibility the twist towards the end was pretty decent.
Visually it was good (I particularly liked the 'fantasy game' sections) and all of the cast were at the very least solid, I did think it dragged a little bit at times during the latter half of it's running time but despite this it still did enough to get an 8/10 from me...

Re: Ender's Game
Saw it yesterday ,and I don't know if I was in the wrong mindset or if the film was just not my cup of tea, but I found it dragging in several spots, much too long and lacking depth - there was so much potential for delving into behaviour and motivations, but it was left hanging.

Re: Ender's Game
I'm not a huge fan of sci-fi normally but I actually greatly enjoyed this. I think seeing it from such a young person's POV and not having the alien race prominently present until the end helped with that. I loved the battle room, the different ranks/groups in battle school and the interesting concept of these Western "child soldiers". It lacked more depth into this subject though and the graduation battle game was too predictable. Still, 7.5 for a fresh story and great visuals.
