I haven't seen this film but I KNOW I would hate it as much as you guys.

I thought it was atmospheric and strangely alluring in the beginning but just pretty visuals and a nice soundtrack became boring after a while, unfortunately. For me this film was only saved by my bias towards Hiddleston. Had anyone else been in that role I would've been bored out of my mind and clock watching. As I wasn't, I suppose this warrants at least a 6/10

Glasgow was fairly full but I was surprised there were only 9 walkouts. They will never know how lucky they were . . . escaping!
I think this will be my worst film of the year, in fact of my life!

I liked this for the most part with the exception of some spinning camerawork which made me feel ill. Surprisingly it didn't feel long and I thought it was stylish, funky and sexy with some nice touches of humour. 7/10.

Awful film, can't describe how much I hated this.
I don't think I've seen a film that's divided everyone's opinion so much.It would appear that it's got the marmite effect,you either love or hate it.

I can totally sympathise.
I can say that I spent the first half hour or so trying to decide whether I loved it or hated it. From the seemingly endless first scenes involving rotating stars, rorating records and rotating scenes (and to be honest the fades between the three were pretty amateurish -I'm sure I could have done that better) I was really wondering what's the point....then I "got it" and was able to decide which camp I was in. Marmite it is. Except I hate marmite. Does that mean I must hate all marmite films? Lol.

I kinda loved this.
A stunning soundtrack accompanied by brilliant yet sublime visuals. Agreed - not much actually happens, and I admit that I found the constant name-dropping a little contrived once the initial joke that they were centuries old had been done.
Loved the atmosphere - it just oozed style. Less loved the True Blood elements involving the drinking of bottled blood as that was straight copying.
Loved Adam's car! I'd want one except for the fact that I used to have one exactly like that. OK. I want it back again.

Perfect ending too.

Oh - did I mention the soundtrack?

Hehe I kinda of guessed you would like it cos you loved Drive. It has that same kind of feel to it. Soundtrack dominating where a script should be and let's have people watch a lot of scenery. And instead of cars let's have vampires who actually don't do much.

Unfortunately I hated it. Where oh where do people get funding for this kind of stuff????!! I am so sorry Glasgow for asking Cineworld to start the film for us when nothing was happening and 18:40 came and went. TBH if nothing was on the screen it would have been better. My pre-entertainment chat was the best and if the film hadn't shown and we got vouchers even better 1/10

I liked it, it was never going to be Underworld or any of the other twinkly vampire nonsense. For that I am grateful, Tilda was serene and so peaceful and the perfect light to the broody darkness of Tom's character. Loved the ending and it was a beautifully shot film. Yes it had faults, was over long in parts and the humour was very dry but they were supposed to be centuries old vampires, possibly even older by their names? I'd happily watch it again but I am a huge vampire fan and have been since I was a child. As for the marmite effect, possibly. I bloody hated Prisoners but the majority liked it.

It's films like this that make me grateful to SFF for pushing people to see movies that ordinarily they wouldn't see. Jim Jarmusch has made a career of making slow, loosely plotted, absolutely beautiful mood movies and even if most of you hated it I'm still glad you got a chance to experience one of his films in the cinema.

I thought it was brilliant. It didn't drag once. Plenty of hidden messages. It felt rather Peter Greenaway to me. As a film graduate I found it fascinating.
