No one wants to post their review on this? Looks like I will get the ball rolling then.
I didn’t hate it as much as I expect it to but nor did I like it and my overall impression is meh. Two good looking leads gazing dreamily at each other supposedly is meant to imply undying love but I did not believe it and was eye-rolling and cringed a few times. The supporting cast (Bruce Greenwood, Joely Richardson and Robert Patrick) tried to make this better than it was but they were not helped by a hammy script and poor dialogue. 5/10.

Well done funthing29 for biting the bullet
.
I thought this was a direct remake of the Brooke Shields film, which unless my memory fails me - it's not. I really did not expect much from this film, so was rather surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Yes it was predominantly formulaic, cringeworthy in parts and cliched
doesn't everyone make love in front of a roaring open fire for their first time
but having taken it for what it is, which is a light romantic film - perfect for the up-coming Valentine's day, I think it did rather well. I liked the pace, the score in parts and the fact that I had a feeling of foreboding throughout, which made me surprisingly invest in what happened to the characters. 6.5/10

Re: Endless Love (2014)
I made it to Odeon West End this evening, having to walk half the way, as the bus was stuck in traffic and was not moving, even in bus lanes, always wonder what bus lanes are for, if it does not speed up buses, oops, I digress!
Anyway, on arrival we were asked to help ourselves to wine and a bottle of water. Went into Screen 1 and met by security who did not seem to know what they were doing and asked if we had been ticked off the guest list, and then told us to turn our mobile phones off. The room filled up really slowly, and by 6.35pm, it was about 60% full. We then had the trailer of Riding Along and was gutted that I could not go yesterday (boiler problems), digressing again.
So back to the film, this was dire. Two hours of torture! It just felt so long and tedious, and even had the balcony scene(!)
The evening was only saved by the good company of mandmc10 (thanks for coming along!) and our "three course meal" before the the film (a bun, a packet of crisps, and some delicious chocs from mandmc10, with the free glass of wine!).
1/10 for Joely Richardson, having to cope with such a poor script
