A thoughtful film on the relationship between Dylan Thomas (Celyn Jones), the drunk and erratic poet, and his friend John Brinnin (Elijah Wood). Really great chemistry between the two leads. I really liked the scenes with the supporting cast too, with Shirley Henderson as the horror writer, and Kelly Reilly, the wife, and Maimie McCoy as Rosie the waitress. A moving script and beautifully filmed in black and white. 8/10
