So frustrated that I missed out on tickets for this today. They were available, then just as I went to click on them, the screen came up that they had all gone.

Just back from a fairly well attended (given the torrential rain outside) screening at the Metrocentre tonight.

Thought the film was pretty good, but sadly not as good as I thought it would have been. I did get a little confused on a number of ocassions as to who was a goodie or baddie and in league with whom though. However, couldn't fault it for lack of action - it progressed at an awesomely blistering pace. Fantasic pyrotechnic displays, flashes and bangs, cool stunts etc.

There were some great comedy moments - the "reeling in the years" ringtone made me laugh.

Female lead was one fine looking lady - v nice indeed!
Naah - only joking - didn't understand what was going on enough to be able to make remarks that would spoil it for anyone!
Loads of NE FMUKers in attendance tonight - even managed to have a couple of words with a few: Andrews, Spanner, Anjirose, Jmbblue. Nice to see every one out and about after the NE film drought.

I'm goin to give this 7.5 out of 10 - and I may even copy my score across to AYBG's cool film scoring thingy on the mega Front Site under the upcoming film listing details (click on the film picture and scroll down to the stars). :D

Does everyone else do this now? AYBG's put one heck of an effort in to bring us this - lets make sure we use it o/

Apologies for the huge number of edits - the ability to spell seems to have deserted me.

Just seen this in a very full Manchester showing.

A friend who had seen it told me it was terrible, so I wasn't expecting much, but actually quite enjoyed it.

The opening scenes when they first meet, by bumping into each other in the desert, were ridiculous and some of the action was typical fast cut CGI nonsense, but.....

...the tank scene from the trailer is actually so OTT its great fun and I thought the main characters were quite well cast and played there roles really well, although BA and Hannibal do overdo the "fools" and "plans" a little.
Especially like the interplay between BA and Murdoch, and they did feel like a proper team.

Overall - not as good as it could have been, but enjoyable tosh, with enough gags and explosions to satisfy you (if you don't expect too much).

I saw this tonight at the Odeon, MetroCentre - many thanks to Preston1990 and Spanner for keeping seats for us. Lovely to see all of you, albeit briefly. What a dreadful journey we had - I was - a - latecomer!!! 8O (I thought that we were going to miss it altogether at one point.)

As for the film, fairly formulaic, and stayed true to the original TV show. I enjoyed the special effects and there was just the correct level of comic interaction between the characters - this was very well done - I speak as one who enjoyed watching the original show on TV (too many years ago to admit).

It's not going to set the world on fire, and won't win any Oscars, but it was great fun. We all enjoyed it . 8/10 from the andrews group. :D

DER DER DER DUH DER DER DER DUH DER DE DE DER DER DE DE DE DUR..... I've been singing this all day.

Hummm well I agree with Preston I did get kinda lost as to who was who sometimes, and I was waiting for the theme toon for ages til it finally appeared, but well erm maybe it was a little too slick for me and it had too much of a proper storyline. There were a few nice comic moments but I think I'd have prefered it to be more tongue in cheek or more of a paraddy. oh and i didn't get how BA was turfed out the army but then got back in again, can anyone explain please? 6/10 from me 8/10 from boyf so 7/10 average I guess

Anyway here's something to cheer the hearts of the old schoolies like me, altogether now DER DER DER DUH DER DER DER...... !!!!

I was at Panton Street, 100% full. The ushers actually counted the couple of random spare seats and got a few more peeps in. The film itself was a good bit of fun, but my main problem was the casting. Liam Neeson just didn't do it for me, nor did Bradley Cooper. Murdoch was spot on though. All in all I prefered The Losers by a whisker. 7/10

Great comedy moment when some poor guy in the front row came back from the toilet and tripped up 8O everyone started laughing and he even stood up and took a bow, bless him
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks
