I watch a hell of a lot of youtube videos and sometimes they have video adverts preceding the actual video; 75% of the time it's the Fred Movie trailer. Why why why?midian wrote:nope, i won't be seeing this. even for free. i couldn't even get through the trailer.

Re: Fred: The Movie
I feel the need to start this review with an explanation of the reason behind why I went to see this film.
OK, we are pretty near the end of the year and I'm tantalisingly close to hitting my 100 free films target.
But,,,,,,I've seen most of the films showing at the moment, that my free Cineworld tickets are valid for, and I'm really struggling to pick out any that I want to see. So taste is very much on the backburner.
So, fellow FMUKers, in my attempt to inch nearer to the 100 free films before the weather closes in again and I miss my target, it was either this or Animals United. Once I found out that "Animals United" was a family viewing "t*lking anim*ls" film, my mind was made up.
I'll sum the film up in two words, taken from the very film itself:
EPIC FAIL
It is not funny in the least, just embarrassingly poor.
0.5 out of 10 - my worst film of the year.

Believe me jpeg, I knew it was going to be complete dross after a few minutes and I was so tempted to leave. I can honestly say that the only thing that kept me in the screening was the thought that if I didn't see it through to the end, it may not legitimately count as one of my 100 free fims.
It became like a horrendous endurance test.

That constant screaming like a girl..............well I just couldn't help it!

I hope I can find something much better for my last two films of the 100.

Well done Preston1990 for sitting through this and reaching 98 free films! Hope you find some good films for your last two. Good luck!

What did you award it 0.5 points for?

I gave it 0.5 because there may be something worse in the future that I need the zero for!Beate wrote:What did you award it 0.5 points for?
Can't really see it happening to be honest, but you never know!

Re: Fred: The Movie
Next movie Pixie Lott's in, she need's to be dressed as a sexy tiger for the whole of it. That should be a law.
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

Re: Fred: The Movie
I've resented Fred on youtube for as long as I can remember and I hope the failure of this film shows the actor (Lucas Cruikshank) that his creation really isn't funny. A reviewer writes:
"The film's a 12A because it contains "behaviour that would be dangerous if copied". Quite right, too. If I ever see anyone acting like Fred, I'll probably loose off a shotgun at them."
