Re: The King’s Speech
On another note, does any one know why Nolan was not nominated for best director? Ridiculous. The direction in Inception was exceptional. That's Hollywood for you.

Re: The King’s Speech
Got some vouchers which I needed to use before the end of the month, so wanted to see what all the hype was about.
Good movie, but not great. Rush was good but have a feeling he'll be beaten by Bale for the Oscar.
7/10

Film review
Hi Guys, just seen The King's Speech - what a fantastic film. Colin Firth certainly mastered the part. He deserves an Oscar so fingers crossed it's on way to him! Looking forward to more films in 2011

I went to see The King's Speech after hearing all the rave reviews about it from all my friends... I don't know if it's just that I'm not so into the biographical stuff or not but really didn't see what all the hype was about... I though it was good, but not amazing...

Re: The King’s Speech
My OH and I went to see this film last Wednesday. We saw it at Bridgend Odeon and it was packed to the rafters. It was an amazing film. To think that The King suffered so much with his stammer and how strong he was to overcome it, at a time of crisis, is an example set to us all. The general public were, at that time, kept very much in the dark about the Royal family and I think it was a refreshing take on the problems that can effect even Royalty. I think that Guy Pearce was brilliant at portraying David, who was unable to fulfill his duties after being hypnotised by that scheming American ****.
Well worth even seeing again......something I rarely do.
A good 9.5/10
