Just seen this in wimbledon. After seeing the trailer, I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. I thought the actor who played sajit was really good. It was interesting to see how sajit embraced his heritage in the end as he seemed to be an outsider at school and when he first got to Pakistan. I did wish that there were subtitles when they spoke Urdu but I'm guessing it was to highlight the fact that his other wife didn't speak English.

It was funny and heartwarming. 7/10

Oh my, really enjoyed this! Had me crying, laughing, crying and laughing. And did I see tears in my OH's eyes - he says they were tears of joy! hmm! The acting was excellent. Agree with you tilly, funny and heartwarming 9/10

This was a real feel good film and very enjoyable. First time I'd been to the cinema at The Mayfair Hotel. Would you believe I went to the theatre there back in the late 1970s. See how ancient I am!

I very tempted write review in George-speak... but ahem, I won't. Somehow I got the impression this was going to be a crazy comedy, but it was more like a serious family drama with a few laughs thrown in. I didn't hate it, but didn't love it either. Neelam (girl from Rochester) had some funny lines, but overall the film didn't grab me that much. Found myself enjoying the scenery, the colourful village they were in, and p*ying more attention to the music (was that sufi?). So I'm afraid only about 6/10 from me.

Couldn't agree more. I was getting really sleepy while watching this. The highlight for me were the water buffalos and the music. Reminded me of my trip to India a year ago.

I was not expecting much from a sequel when the original was a favourite film of mine.

I was however, pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. It's great to see how some of the characters had moved on ... and some hadn't. For example, the father of the family and his colourful language were still prevalent throughout the film.

Moving the majority of the film to Pakistan was a clever twist on the original and although not as funny, there were enough laughs throughout the movie. The film also had some dramatic scenes which either pulled at your heart strings or were deemed cheesy, depending on how sentimental you were feeling.

All in all, it was a feel-good movie and a worthy sequel to an already excellent original.

One of my favourite films this year, thus far - 9/10


My only disappointment was missing prettyxcool and the other FMUKers at the Mayfair Hotel.
