I am seeing this tonight and looking forward to it.
I thought the adverts I saw on the tube were really strange, I thought it was advertsing a medical centre not a film !

I really enjoyed it too.

My aunty said she would like some of those pills... so if anyone has any, please PM me asap :). Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind one or two. :p

Bradley Cooper looks like my friend Larry. Maybe when he mailed me to say he was moving from Atlanta to Los Angelese because of a new job, he meant... :shifty:

Nice to see pxc, Beate and ewjrank. For a screening that was supposed to be full, there were loads of empty seats tonight!

thoroughly enjoyed this the second time round!
the guy sitting next to me ALMOST ruined the experience with his delayed personal commentary "Thats clever!" "wow!" "id love that" "that looks amazing!" "uh-oh hes on your tail"

who am i kidding?
nothing could distract me from the yummyness that is bradley cooper

Yeah, I want some of those pills too. o/ I enjoyed this until towards the end, it got too far fetched and I just got a bit bored and it left me a bit unsatisfied, as it seemed they did not know how to end the story and felt it was a bit of an anti climax after all the excitement of the beginning. My OH enjoyed something for a change! He gave it a 7 - his highest so far! I will give it 6.5 mostly for Bradley. ;)

Was quite peeved that the screening at Vue Islington was half full when I could not get tickets and only thanks to superhero offering me his that I got to see this at all. Great to see Beate and ejwrank and catch up with Sunny Saver. Really nice Screen 1 too, great incline and spacious seats.

What a weird film. Thought it was supposed to be a comedy but there was only one laugh in it. ONE. The rest was a psyched out thriller trying to be clever and failing miserably. Pretty boy Bradley Cooper popped pills and well, looked pretty, and the ending made no sense. As did the middle bit, to be honest. And it was slow to start as well, with a very annoying voice over, so I am not really sure which bit I did enjoy. What was this film trying to do? "Take drugs because they make you clever, rich, popular and famous?" "Don't take drugs because they make you ill and you will ultimately die?" Actually, why didn't he die like the others, can someone explain? And why in God's name did he have to go into politics and sport this godawful conservative haircut? A politician with that many dead bodies littering his past? :wall: So many questions, so many plotholes. I am afraid I have to agree with kevinknapman's analysis on this.

And why was the Vue Islington both booked out and half empty?

A meh 6/10.

Yes we were also in the Islington Vue and they gave us cinema 1 which is huge compared to all the other ones there but no where near full.

I didn't dislike the film but I didn't much like it either. I thought it started out promisingly but then became long and annoying and I was glad when it finally finished. I thought there was a good film idea there but not properly developed.

And do all of you really want some of those pills? Ugh -- none for me thanks very much. You can have my lot.

I forgot to say so many unanswered questions from me too. I haven't read KK's review yet, so will go and read it now.
edit: Good review KK. Agree with you too.
ejwrank: I want it to give to my OH - if it can get him to tidy up like that - it will be worth it :D
