So there are winners and there are winners, it seems. Some winners can just walk right in, others have to wait until 6.15pm, while SFF tickets were told to come back at 6.30pm. Well, I had a SFF ticket, but did not budge from my first in the queue spot. valda, funthing29 (who both had winners tickets) and Denichka then joined me. Another queue was forming opposite us, those were clutching proper tickets. Then suddenly, everyone can go in. Once inside the foyer, the press and presumably the winners that were allowed in earlier were cordoned off in a group and we walked passed them to Screen 1. It seemed to take ages for the screen to fill up, but finally it did and two DJ's from Kiss FM came to introduce the stars.

Film was very, very cheesy, which was what I was expecting, but I actually enjoyed the fantasy and went along with the ride. Gary Oldman was so OTT and camp that it was funny, and so contrasting with the other characters playing it straight. Peter and Henry were a bit dull, and so was the romance. Did anyone noticed that some of the dialog sounded dubbed? It distracted me a bit. But great scenery and the red hood was visually fabulous as they traipsed across the mountains, and Amanda looks stunning in the red. I thought the suspense was good and had me changing my guesses throughout the film. 7/10

102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

Regarding the lack of premiere - I arrived quite early, there were at least 7 photographers in front of the Empire and a few girls clearly waiting for autographs from the cast, one of the Empire staff came and asked everybody to move along saying "Come on guys, there's nothing happening, I promise. It was downsized from a premiere to a screening 3 weeks ago."

Not much to add to what others have already said. I enjoyed the scenery and the look of the film, but thought the acting and the script were rather poor. 5/10

It was a pity that Gary Oldman wasn't at the screening. Would have liked to seen him.

On a more positive note, I managed to grab lots of popcorn bags from the reserved seats at the end of the film. :D

Soonforgotten, there is a close-up photo of Amanda Seyfried on page 15 of today's Metro for you to salivate over. The accompaying blurb calls it a premiere btw.

There's like an army of young british actors invading Hollywood these days. Now add to the list Max Irons. Shame he was so wooden in the film (he seems better in real life). With a father like Jeremy Irons, he should have some good acting pedigree
