My second film of the day, just like buses, none for a while and four comes along!

Very sad, emotional and painful. A little too long, but well made to express the subject matter. Brilliantly acted, and I was captivated and touched. Only spoilt briefly, 10 minutes towards the end when the lights came on, and Beate had to go out to ask them to turn them off! 7/10 I just remembered where Samantha Morton made an impression on me - she was Agatha in Minority Report! It was good to have your company too, Beate!

Yes, well, no one else was moving their butt so I got up and alerted an usher (which are notoriously hard to find on the screening floors). Strange that the lights would come on before the end but maybe they too thought this film really is too long and ought to stop now!

yeah, it felt like the right time to stop! But it was at a crucial point, so not a very good idea! :P

hang on a minnie... that was Jena Malone, not Sam Morton.

(me a big Jena fan after Donnie Darko, sorry lol).

The two big strength of this film were the tragic scenes, and the journey of the characters delivering the messages. Its well shot in that you feel right there with the two soldiers, and well acted allround.

It felt a bit long when Woody started crying. Goodness his face has changed sooo muuch.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

No it wasn't: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0790712/

Jena Malone played Kelly but she isn't who we meant.

ok sorry i am quite freaked out now by my mistake, I thought it was her all along. And even more freaked out that I didnt recognise Jena and that she was playing the foil to Sam.

Fortunate that I have no hat to eat.

The lights came on slightly early in Liverpool aswell.

It's not a film you can say you enjoyed due to the subject matter. I had knots in my stomach thinking this is someone's actual job, families actually have to to go through this. Ben Foster was the stand out performance for me. 5/10

Hmmm...reminds me of 'Taking Chance'. :tears: I cried several times watching that and like you my stomach was in knots throughout. Will have to catch it when it comes out....unless another code turns up!
