you know what, I think I have answered my own question, may be it was a part-time job/inbetween jobs, while she looked for her proper job, I think most of us has done that, like waiting on tables or whatever...prettyxcool wrote: I too was left wondering about Audrey Tatou and how she had somehow gone from a programme seller at a theatre to having her own office and heading her own group!

Re: Delicacy
I'm pretty sure it is said in the film that she needed a change, tried a new job, and got a promotion years after.

Re: Delicacy
I was invited to see this movie last night so I could write a combined book/DVD review for one of the places I review books for and I unfortunately have to agree with the sentiments most people have voiced in this thread. And I really thought I'd like it as I am a sucker for romantic films, the bigger the cheese fest the more I love it, but this was just so pointless.
I was in the middle of the book (which I've now finished) when watching the film and albeit slightly better than its adaptation it's also nothing to write home about; it tries to be quirky but only becomes increasingly irritating. The characters have no depth, the story is written very faltering and simplistic and in all it's a disengaging story for the readers.
The movie is even worse as it's all of the above and it's got bloody Audrey Tatou being annoying as hell. I'd never seen her in anything before (I think) though of course I've heard of her but I do not know what all the fuss is about. She's not pretty enough to have 3 guys fall head over heels with her upon first glance (according to the book), she looks like a poorly dressed skeleton most of the time and she cannot act (not in this film at least). Blergh.
5/10 (some points for some interestingly shot scenes and the very hot François)

She used to be a theatre programme seller but she applied for a job at a Swedish company (her resume is shown in the film and she gets hired by Charles on the spot as he offers her a Krisp roll). The film actually spans quite a few years so in the end she's a teamleader, which is where she meets Markus.Beate wrote:And can someone explain to me what job she actually had? One moment she was a theatre programme seller, the next some high-powered executive with "cases".
