Still works on second viewing, painfully funny, and my favourite film this year, better than Cloud Atlas really. I love it to ribbons.

I, and a few others I know won a twitter competition. We all tend to follow each other so enter the same comps. In this case there seem to have been quite a few pairs to be won. Even so, the screening wasn't full.

I've only seen it once by the way.

The first one back in December was a test screening held by Warner Bros for friends/family of their staff.
Last night, there was actually 2 screenings, 1 for the press and the other one for Twitter competition winners.

Seconding the comments of the lovely screening room and largely behaved audience though I was disappointed they didn't have crisps or something this time around as I was starving (didn't have time to have dinner in between work and the screening). Ah well.

I do not like Steve Carrell and Jim Carrey so to have the both of them in the same filkm was not a good start for me. While Jim was a different persona than he is normally I actually had to look away during mostly all of his scenes and as a result still didn't like them. Steve was okay in some scenes but still annoying most of the time. Actually preferred the scenes with the kids in the past, the ones with Rance (especially the bed bit, lol) and Anton. The film as a whole was just okay to me though as I barely laughed and mostly cringed....

6.5/10 (mostly for the very final scene which was fantastic and the excessive use of "On Top Of The World" by Imagine Dragons as this is a song I'm currently obsessed with)

It was my second viewing as well. My mate works for Warner's so got us the first tickets last year. She wasn't allowed to see it herself.
so this time around I won the tickets and as it was in her building, I asked her but she was off work, destined never to see this film

Still a funny film, even if you don't like Carey and Carell. If you remember David Copperfield, and Roy and Siegfried, and the old Vegas style Magicians, this captures them brilliantly, along with the new wave magicians, like Blaine, who are not really magicians but crazy fools :X

I still found it really funny but the 'in-between' bits annoyed me more than before 8/10

Lovely to see most of the audience were FMUKers sorry I went off to sit at the front but I was expecting some more mates to come
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

Saw this tonight. Not overly impressed I'm afraid. I enjoyed it as a "drama" but didn't really find it that funny to be honest. The students around me were falling about though so I think I'm in the minority. I just didn't get it. Liked the story, liked the tricks, liked the whole premise, just didn't really notice the jokes. Maybe I was too tired or not in the mood? I usually like Jim Carrrey etc.

Ach well....6/10 - so not a bad film in my mind. Trailer pretty much summed up the whole film though.

Just got back from Hackney. Thought the film was ok, but a bit too silly for me. I laughed in places, but found it a bit slow and expected more. I think the film would probably work best for children, as lots of the film is quite unrealistic.
