Re: 21 Jump Street
Hilarious! I had no expectations so was very pleasantly surprised. I was telling my sister that it had been a tv series years ago before it started as she is too young to remember. 7/10 for us :)

7/10 from me.
I think there will be a sequel

Re: 21 Jump Street
I had low expectations going into this movie, so was very pleasantly suprised to find its maybe a top ten of the year! I'll give Jonah the benefit of the doubt after the middling The Sitter, he struck up a hilarious partnership with Tatum although it wasnt near Oscar material he was good. If only he did this more often.
I was let in very early so I actually caught the beginning of the horrible John Carter. How shit was that experience, thank God I wasnt there for more than twenty minutes of that claptrap.

fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

Re: 21 Jump Street
Silly plot and rather crude jokes but still hilariously entertaining. It's been a while since a film made me laugh so much. Hill and Tatum made a nice comedic double act and for once, Tatum's wooden acting served him well. 8/10.

Re: 21 Jump Street
I had low expectations like many others and thought Id give it a go and so I glad.
Silly, great chemistry, not too crude, great cameos and it had great fun riffing on cop shows, high school and buddy movies without ever becoming a full on spoof.
Great fun, highly recommended.

Re: 21 Jump Street
Loved the use of the original music and seeing old episodes of the TV-show playing in the background of scenes.
And of course the Depp cameo which I was sadly completely spoiled for because of something I'd read on this thread. Shame Dustin Nguyen and Peter DeLuise didn't also pop up though. Although apparently Holly Robinson was in it, I completely missed that!
Having said all that, this movie should've never been named "21 Jump Street" as it had very little to do with the original series other than its name. It had a completely different feel to it and had it been given any other random name it would've been better in my opinion.
I had low expectations and they were lowered even more after the first few scenes, Channing isn't very pretty as the "eye candy" of the film is he? However, despite it's crude teenage humour I found myself laughing throughout the entire film and I didn't look on my watch once! So somehow they must've done something right! 7.5/10
I really want to rewatch the original series now and/or want a very 80s style cop movie to come up in cinemas!
Was he the one next to Depp? Because I thought that was him but IMDB tells me I am wrong so I figured they'd got someone who looked like himCelini wrote:whaaaat?
