It was packed at the Apollo Piccadilly tonight!

It was like a FMUK reunion, saw milkchocmonkey, tufty, ucakpam, ejwrank and Beate!

It has also been a really good three days of films for me too. What an awesome film Super 8 is. Really, really enjoyed this. Humour, heart, drama, action, things that make you jump, it has it all. The clip during the credits really tied up all the loose ends for me too. Loved it! 9/10

Just back from a busy Liverpool 1. Thought this was rather slow moving and does'nt need to be as long as it is. Good cast, thought the train crash was superb. Not a classic by any stretch of the imagination, but some funny moments throughout the film and the film the kids made was hilarious. 6.5/10

As a matter of principle, I am not going to sit in a cinema for 1 hour waiting for a film to start, p*ying, not p*ying, premiere, any old screening.
p*ying customers, non p*ying customers, I don't think anyone should get that kind of treatment at a cinema

Back from Apollo. Packed screen, enjoyable movie... but why do I always sit in earshot of the dude who laughs too loud, too long... at EVERYTHING?

Another question. Was that really a 12A. It wasn't violent or anything my heart did skip a beat more in that 2hrs than in many so-called horrors I've watched.

Good to see Kyle Chandler on the big screen. I got so used to seeing him in Friday Night Lights!

I have before and I have this time. They had to turn people away, don't know how many or whether they got compensation but we were glad we were early! Got seats in the last row, then saw ejwrank waving from two rows down, then prettyxcool with OH and friends further down our row, then phunkygal's OH in front of us. They actually moved next to us after a short time. There were two seats right in the corner of the last row, with a barrier in front of them and people didn't see them for the longest time. Eventually the guy next to me got up and told two girls about them - they were the last two people getting a seat.

I thought, wow, I have a considerate person next to me, but my delight didn't last long. As soon as the film started the guy started shifting about. I have never seen someone so hyperactive before. He leant forward, then back, then started shaking his legs sideways, then drummed his fingers on his knees, then bent down, then leant to the left to whisper something to his girlfriend, then leant forward again... I got motion sickness just from watching him! The bloke in front of him was a forward leaner as well and I had to laugh when both of them happened to be leaning forward and a scary bit came. I was watching it for the second time and it hadn't been really scary the first time round, but those two nearly jumped out of their skin and basically slammed back in their seats. It was very funny to watch!

Even though the cinema was full to the last seat, there wasn't as much laughter as at my first screening which surprised me a bit. Even the video at the end, which people duly watched, didn't get belly laughs, but some people at least clapped at the end.

Enjoyed it just as much the first time but some scenes are really so far-fetched that it's funny, and I am not talking about the alien. Also, when the Dad hugged his son at the end and mumbled "I got ya. I got ya", it sounded like he had rescued him somehow while the kids got on just fine on their own - almost better than the Dads.

Saw it Whiteleys, where nobody is ever turned away, people are allowed in groups 20 minutes into the screening and to be honest I don't even know if they managed to find a seat in the end, but they went around a lot while trying and no usher bothered to try and assist them.

Loved how the movie brought up the inner child in me. Saw references to the Goonies, ET, Stand by me, Close Encounters to mention but a few and it was a pleasant way of spending a couple of hours. 7.5/10
