Went to see this at Holloway Road. Oh dear, oh dear. Not for me at all. Dull, flat and formulaic. I'm sure the memoirs are a good read but sometimes things are best left on the written page.

I was also at Holloway Road and did not think much of the movie either. Beautiful landscape and photography, but the story was so incredibly predictable. Plus Scarlett Johansson was atrocious in her non-acting. The little girl playing Matt Damon's daughter on the other hand was beyond adorable. 6/10

Just saw this at Swiss Cottage.

Loved it. I want a Rosie, she is so adorable. A very sugary, predictable film, a bit too long, but just what I needed this morning, nice easy watching with mum. :P 8/10

Nice to have Ms Thrifty and MrG's company as well, and always lovely to see celini and MariaLionza.

I must say this for me was an all round near perfect film with the right amounts of each emotion in equal measure. Yes it was very similar to TV's Wild At Heart in the story (although based on true events) and there were absolutely no surprises with the romantic matches in it, but this is a film that the whole family can enjoy without offence. In saying that it might have made a better series on TV insofar as it would have allowed characters to develop etc. but would it have managed to hold an audience's attention for a run of 6 or 8 shows?

I have to say that I had a very enjoyable Saturday morning watching this. Would I watch it again anytime soon? Or even in 2/3 years time on TV at Christmas? Probably not. Whilst an ideal film it is not a must-see nor a blockbuster and I don't think it will be an Academy favourite either.

I'll give it a good healthy 8/10 and it is definitely worth seeing.

(Now to read what everyone else thought - see if I am in the minority!)

Arrgh! With 4 pages to read through I was expecting some competition. Guess not.

Interesting at today's RBS screening they were showing slides relevant to Times+ on screen prior to the film. Confused? Yep.

Also had bank card checked on way in - more to confirm same name as on print-out as opposed to presence of said RBS bank card as any card would do. Glad I had my RBS card none-the-less. Only a half full screening too. Surprised.

An enjoyable film fit for all the the family to watch with no swearing!!
A bit too long for the kids in the audience as they all start to trail to the loo when they got bored.
Little Rosie was very cute. Well worth watching but wouldn't bother to see it again. 7/10

I saw the trailer few times, I hated it and thought the title was not very engaging, so it's with the "don't walk out" line in mind that I went to Swiss Cottage this morning!
And not for a second I thought to walk out!

Even though the story was very cliched and predictable, I cried (I am a sucker with animals and adorable kids) and laughed a lot. The actors (young and older) gave really good performances and overall We b*ght a Zoo is a very enjoyable (maybe too sugary sweet?) family film!
Even, I would recommend

It reminded me a bit of Dolphin's Tale as it triggered exactly the same emotions for me.

A decent 8/10!

Well I enjoyed this. It's sweet and sentimental in the nicest possible way. I had very low expectations and I must admit I was surprised to enjoy it so much. I would say this is for older children and unfortunately Holloway Odeon allowed parents to take babies into the screening (and I'm talking little babes in arms and buggies) and when they started to cry the parents walked them back and forth behind us in the back row rather than taking them out. The manager said later he has no control over who goes into any PG film which I found odd. I was sitting next to a guy who runs a film website and he usually goes to press/media screenings (lucky him!) and he was astonished at how badly behaved the audience was. He was shouting at people to turn off their phones and I told him that it was always like this (well not the babies but certainly the number of times phones had to be checked throughout a film).

(and this is exactly why I did not go to Holloway this morning, even though it's a 6 minutes walk from me!
I think it's a very decent cinema a but the FREE preview screenings always suck there!)
