Yay, goody bags galore! Although I managed to grab three more on the way out, they were bereaved of one book and the dry hair cream, bar one, so if anyone wants any I have three goody bags spares, with varying contents! It was also nice to see other FMUKers when cliveas arrived and then ejwrank. Alot of the Telegraph members did look familiar though. ;)

I went to see this with an open mind. Very weird film indeed. I was intrigued and haunted by it. The film was full of strange characters who seems to want love. I found it really difficult to watch the first scene, and had to close my eyes, and it was long! :blink: One unnerving sexual scene made me and everyone in the screening room gasp! Nevertheless, the film was not erotic, but was beautifully shot and Emily Browning gave a really good performance and I thought is well cast. She was a character that does not seem to have any emotions and her life seems quite bland, and to make ends meet she is drawn into this bizarre sex industry world. Her only friend is an alcoholic. It is not a mainstream film so may not be to everyone's taste. 7/10

Talking of bad films that are pretentious & make no sense has reminded me of Klimt http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0417871/
I don't think I've ever seen so many people walk out of a film (except for A Prophet when people realised there were no subtitles but that due to a tech fault) I was one of the only few that stuck it to the end hoping for some big revelation that would help the whole think make sense except it never came. My final conclusion was that since he was going mad with syphilis they were trying to make the audience feel that way too. Either way it didn't make it a watchable film.
