The Hunger Games
Re: The Hunger Games
I can't tell you how much I loved this.
Went to the Double Bill last night, two films for the price of one, surprisingly! I really loved this, thought it continued along nicely with the first film, and stayed true to the book. So sad now I have to wait another year for Mockingjay part 1!

Re: The Hunger Games
they ought to make a tv series backstory of this, it would be cheap as chips to make (its pretty much post Armageddon(in a way) back to basics props) and theres so much more to flesh out.
not even a video game!

I'm seriously considering going again. I'm having withdrawals. I was so excited, and now I'm back to waiting in anticipation. Guh, a whole year?rawr_xoxo wrote:I too saw it last night at a midnight screening, and am going again tonight^^

Re: The Hunger Games
Got cancelled on for tonight now
maybe tomorrow?
i was really excited too then the projector ballsed up and it didnt start till 1.10!!
my excitement had sort of died by that point cause i was certain theyd cancel it
so i sort of want to see it again without having that feeling of dread that i could be kicked out the screen at any moment D:

Re: The Hunger Games
This was SO GOOD, one of the best adaptations I've ever seen! But man do I hate open endings, even if I already know how the series will finish as I've read the books...
Katniss? Amazing! Peeta? Surprisingly likeable (I'm actually rooting for him now). Effie? Amazing (she made me tear up)! Haymitch? Amazing! Cinna? AMAZING!
Also? I thought I loved Finnick before but then Sam Claflin happened. He is perfect amounts of cheekiness, heroism and shirtlessness *swoon*
10/10
Also, our theatre burst out in spontaneous applause when Katniss
broke the force field in the arena, hee!
Did this happen elsewhere too?

My theatre's favourite part was easily
Katniss's face when Joanna stripped in the elevator
canadian_turtle wrote:This was SO GOOD, one of the best adaptations I've ever seen!
