Utterly bonkers!

The special effects are dodgy and the acting is questionable but the sheer absurdity of the script provides a few laughs.

5.5/10.

God, the PCC is a shit cinema. First they make you queue up forever, while Nazis in gas masks and a bonkers guy with a "Moon Nazis are coming!" placard are walking up and down (at one time he ran from the Nazis, pushing me in the back), then they let you in in small groups (just scraped in after soonforgotten), then it starts late, and the bloody downstairs screen is icecold and uncomfortable like hell with no legroom whatsoever. The moment I saw guys come in with 3 beer bottles in their hands, then heard someone clap at the beginning when absolutely nothing was happening, I knew what kind of screening this was going to be. And I was right. Senseless maniacal loud laughter at everything from the guys with the beers, while constantly getting the seat kicked by the people behind.

This is as offensive as The Dictator but unfortunately nowhere near as funny. Now I know why it is only getting a one day release - it's an utter bonkers mess. A few ideas were good, granted (the "Yes she can" US President looked like Sarah Palin), but the ending was unsatisfying as it felt unfinished. But at least some high heels were put to good use.

Still, in a world where Piranha 3DD got a nationwide release, I have to give this 5/10

The best place in the house @PCC is first row, you should know better Beate ;)
still pretty much ice cold but few Jagermeister shots later, it's bearable!

That was silly and very discussable... not really worth an extended release if you ask me (that won't sell out!)

Ha ha, was that what it was? OH got one offered and drank it down in a nanosecond.
I can't sit in the first row, honestly. We sat in a middle row towards the right and that was bad enough for my neck. Thankfully we had no one next to us or in front, so I could see as well as you can at this weird angle.

I'd never watch this again, but as a one time view, it's brainless, mild fun: http://londonfilmfanatiq.com/2012/05/22/iron-sky/
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

There's poor acting, laughable CGI (possibly on purpose at times) and 'jokes' that are incredibly offensive without being genuinely funny (in contrary to say The Dictator). I slept through part of it and laughed a handful of times. The best bit was the work they put into the screening by having a fake hobo protesting outside saying "The moon Nazis are coming" (which would've been a better title for this film, reflecting its absurdness whereas "Iron Sky" sounds too serious for what it is), mon Nazis parading outside, and free Jagermeister shots once inside (though I needed more than two to make this film good, unfortunately). 5/10
