I saw it again today. Still like the first hour an awful lot.

I LOVED this, is now my second fave film of the year so far.
Visuals were amazing
though the horse chase was a bit dodgy, lots of CGI and dust but still awesome
All the actors played their parts superbly, stuck very close to the book which is always the great advantage of having the writer onboard.
Loved the fact that they pulled it off without following all the cheesy vampire films that are coming out now due to it being 'popular', and we all know why.
It was gritty, brutal, bloody, and funny, cant wait to see it again!

The only thing that annoyed me was the fact that the best fmuking line in the whole trailer wasnt included in the final cut.

This movie just looked so incredibly cool! Most of the time I was in awe of the awesome effects (some very good 3D coming out of the screen towards the audience too).

I agree with previous reviews saying that the story did not have much substance, but I did like how they intertwined real historic events from Abraham Lincoln's lifetime
(for example: his war against slavery and the Gettysburg Address, though I am surprised his assassination wasn't used)
with the alternate story of the vampires. Though I suppose that's largely due to the author of the novel, Seth Grahame-Smith, not necessarily the film makers (though I do think he rewrote his book into the screenplay himself?)

9 for the fantastic look of the film, 7 for the story. So a 8/10 from me.
Mary said they were off to the theatre at the end and not to forget his hat, which earned a few chuckles from the audience and it implied he was about to be assassinated.
