Which screen did they put you in?

Another disappointing premiere, where they put all the prize winners in a separate screen from the VIPs. That is fine, if the stars came in to be introduced to us before the screening. They were using screens 5, 6 and 7. We were in screen 6. At 6.45pm, the director came and thank us for coming out in the cold and the film started.

Luckily, we managed to see some of the stars on the red carpet, but were told emphatically by the security guards "NO PHOTOS!" However, I did manage to get Rafe Spall's wife's Elize Du Toit's autograph, as I was watching their arrival outside.

On a second viewing, I saw things I missed in the first viewing, and actually thought how annoying Rose is this time round... but loved Minnie Driver's character even more. I actually liked Stephen Merchant's humour this time, and thought it was just typical British comedy and dare I say, much sharper and funnier the second time round. My OH liked it and even gave it a 7/10, and said it was funny!

When we came out of the screening, parked outside where a whole car park of luxury cars, with the chauffeurs waiting for the stars, presumably the VIP screening started much later than ours.

Unfortunately, during the mad scramble to see the stars arriving, OH's mobile got stolen from his jacket pocket. :wall:

3 rows away from the front row, in the middle, we were the ones taking pics of ourselves in front of the screen

I was there too, Screen 6 as well, absolutely loved the film! Thought it was quite nice of the director to came and see us as I've been to so called premiers that you are shoved into the dingiest screen of the cinema and then wait for ages for the screening to begin and nobody comes. I think Salmon Fishing in the Yemen at Kensington Odeon was one of those. We were running late, so were there around 6.30 and rushed along the red carpet, didn't noticed any of the stars but how positively lovely it is to see a funny comedy, its been a while! 8/10

I see that the screening at Birmingham Odeon didn't go ahead tonight.
Getting to be a habit isn't it?

Really I didn't go but I know some people who were. There was no cancellation email before so I wonder if they got to see another film or free tickets.

Full Screen at West End Vue. Got there around 6.10 thinking we would be too late, but I'd say we were somewhat early. There were still people coming in at 6.30 and some others were let in after the movie had started. Makes me wonder about the times I was turned away for being 5 mins late.

I quite liked the movie and the OH thought it was funny which is an achievement since he hates rom coms. As with any other rom com, it was predictable and the plot was quite weak, nonetheless it's a nice "feel good" movie.

I also loved the fact I could name nearly every location. I keep meaning to go to the restaurant at the end (Yauatcha)!

People were told they couldn't show the film after sitting and waiting.
