Disney's Planes
Showcase Cinemas are having a Charity Screening at 10.30am on Sunday 11th August ( a week before General Release).
Tickets cost £5 and money will be donated to Dreamflight Charity.
I'm not sure if all Showcase Cinemas screening but my local one in Paisley is participating.

Re: Disney's Planes
Saw this Disney/British Airways preview in Edinburgh this morning. Goody bags galore with bottle of water, pepsi, popcorn, Planes activity book and other wee bits and pieces.
Average at best. But then I thought Cars was an average Disney film. Not bad but not great either. There was nothing surprising about the plot. Characters are very car-like. The screening was full of wee children and most needed to go to the bathroom. Personally I use that as an indication that it doesn't hold children's attention. Plus the film felt longer than it's running time. 3D wasn't great either.
Sequel is already on the horizon though with Planes: Fire & Rescue schedule for released in August 2014.
5/10

Embargo has been lifted so can now post my thoughts.
Mediocre at best. Animation was not cute and charcters looked rather samey, quite a basic story and lacked any charm. 5/10.

Re: Disney's Planes
I actually enjoyed this a lot! Loved the colourful characters, the storyline while not ingenious served its purpose and there was some good 3D in the flying scenes. Miles better than Cars 2. 7/10

Re: Disney's Planes
Just got back from seeing this & although it wasn't terrible it wasn't anything special either.
Admittedly it was better than 'Cars' but as that isn't really much of an achievement this still only gets a 5/10 from me...

Re: Disney's Planes
Took kids today to see Planes - using my sky cineworld freebies - kids thought its was ok but i was pretty bored - obviously just a CARS clone but little real thought to a decent story or any originality - 6/10 at best.
