Unoriginal story (seriously, how many times can they recycle the same story?), weak script, bland characters. The 3D was fine though.
Few chuckles along the way but overall a very poor flick (from a grown up point of view anyway)

Sadly, I completely agree. I love my animated films and am always very easy on their rating but this was just so dull! And for it's 90-odd minute length it felt like it was waaaaay too long. Too many characters, too many things going on back and forth which meant that in the end the storyline as whole just didn't do anything for me. I saw all the scenes/characters that were there to provide comic relief but none of it was able to get a laugh from me today. Very disappointing and I struggled to stay awake. 5/10

Had high hopes for this today.
And nice to see Antonio banderas before.

But my review is simple. I fell asleep.

Haven't done that during cinema before so must have been bad.

The kids didn't move tho. So either they fell asleep or were glued to it.

It was OK, but you could literally pick out the characters and scenes from other films and daughter started asking towards the end how much longer it was so was obviously getting a little bored. The 3D glasses really didn't help, they were huge and no kids sizes available just offered foam pads to be added on the arms, which didn't really do anything.

Was nice to see lots of FMUKers and to finally meet Sunny Saver! We were there early to take part in the fun day, but sadly not your normal fun in the foyer type, it was a nice idea that the kids would draw a background and then act a short scene which could be animated and played back, but in reality it wasn't very practical and the lady running it was not very friendly or patient with the children!

Zzzzzzz. This was boring. I fell asleep even though I had a screaming infant in front of me.

Weak children's film. Story was dull, too many characters, lack of comedy and 3D wasn't that special (I took my glasses off towards the end and didn't notice a huge difference).

4/10.

I was bored, my mother was bored and probably auntie too. However, the cheeky monkeys we took liked it and, since they are the target audience, I guess that's what counts.

But they did want to know 'why are your friends all sitting in the front row?', ie Funnything, Celini and C_T. In fact, my mother asked me 'why are you friends sitting in the front row'. It must have been an interesting topic for debate because when we met the cheeky monkeys' parents later, they mentioned it to them too.

The cheeky monkeys are better at film stars than me, as they told me Antonio Banderas was in Spy Kids 2. Never seen it.

Yes, finally I met Rainey! I didn't think much of 'fun in the foyer' given it said ideal for 5-12 year old kids, I felt it was more for the 5-year old end of the spectrum. Luckily, we didn't go early for that.

I'm not a fan of 3D, my eyes always feel really tired after it.

Valda: you could have come as there were no cakes.

I was surprised that my 2 also recognised Antonio Banderas, but really not that surprising really as couldn't tell you how many times they have watched that series of films. He was also on the Saturday morning cooking programme yesterday morning we were, my daughter said it was a shame he didn't bring any of the cakes they making as they looked really nice.
