The story of Times war correspondent Marie Colvin. I have to say that I found this lacklustre and somewhat boring despite the drama of war scenes and action. The film itself was so realistic that were it not for a few known actors appearing it could have been simply real footage. For that it definitely gets credit. From a story point of view it sucked. The story was literally a compilation of her various assignments to war zones around the world culminating in her final posting. It didn't enthrall.

An unusual one in that it was a later start than usual with tickets exchanged at box office for real tickets so we were with p*ying public. Also unusual in the extraordinary choice of locations. I'm afraid I really couldn't summon up any enthusiasm to stay for the Q&A, particularly as I'd made a special effort to arrive earlier than usual only to discover the later than usual start! An hour I sat on my own before it started.

Wouldn't part with pennies to see this. Don't regret seeing it for nothing.

I arrived in plenty of time for this knowing what time the previous film would finish in that screen. I was surprised to find out how early some of the Times ticket holders had turned up. Obviously they didn't bother reading the start time on the booking.

I was gripped by this film which showed how PTSD affected Marie. The explosions were so loud and realistic, I felt I was there with them.
Interesting Q&A too.

Oh .... I share the view of the realism of the docufilm. I flinched not but my fellow cinema friend jumped at the sound of guns. I thought it did a reasonable representation of the role of a war correspondent.. with PTSD Abs alcoholism and lifestyle unstable. A brave movie showing the real life drama and the addiction that war can generate...the thirst for frontline-ism and the dangers 7/10

It does make you want to find out more about Marie Colvin. Also brings it home to you the risks that journalists take to bring us live news. Rosamund Pike is outstanding in the role of a self destructive war correspondent, running around without a care for her own life or her own team's lives. A heavy drama and some scenes hard to watch.
7/10

Shame due to technical issues at Odeon Camden, we missed most of the intro for the start of the film as it had no sound, then there was problems starting the film, and it was a good 10 minutes late, so we missed the start of the Q&A, but sound issues again, so missed around 20 minutes but what we finally heard was very interesting and engrossing.
