We are very excited to be able to present a special, FREE, preview screening of Missing Link the latest movie from pioneering animation studio LAIKA. Followed by a masterclass with the films writer-director, Chris Butler.
Tired of living a solitary life in the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Link — an eight-foot-tall creature covered in fur, voiced by Zach Galifianakis — recruits fearless explorer Sir Lionel Frost (Hugh Jackman) to guide him on a journey to find his long-lost relatives in the fabled valley of Shangri-La. Along with adventurer Adelina Fortnight (Zoe Saldana), they encounter more than their fair share of peril as they travel to the far reaches of the world. In this stop-motion adventure from renowned animation studio Laika (Coraline), the three explorers learn that sometimes you can find a family in the places you least expect.
Following this advance screening, writer-director Chris Butler joins us for an extended onstage conversation about the studio’s unique animation process and the making of Missing Link.
