Re: Sunshine On Leith
For many free screenings I have attended, I've gone in with no expectations, having learned very little about the films beforehand. But with Sunshine on Leith I wanted it to be good, it was a British Film, a British cast, director and of course a very British sound track. This is probably why I came ...

Re: The Heat
Went to see this last night. It was ok. It at least held more attention throughout which is more than can be said of a few other films I’ve seen. I saw the Interns a few weeks ago, and I think this is certainly better than that (not sure that’s a recommendation or not)! I thought Sandra Bullock was g ...

Re: Beasts of the Southern Wild
I went to see this in Southampton, cinema was about 90% full, with a few kids expecting the fantasy film as described. The film was ruined for me by the pre-publicity, the equilibrium of the universe being upset by the melting of the polar ice caps releasing the ancient beasts, whilst Hus Puppy ...

Re: Fast Girls
Saw this in Southampton and was only about 10% full. I had a feeling it was going to be almost empty judging by the amount of time it took the cinema staff to exchange the print out for a ticket.....clearly they had not had much practice working the till for previous customers. I'd give the film 5 ...

Re: What to Expect When You're Expecting
Went to see this in Southampton, the cinema was 100% full; in fact a few late comers were turned away. The film it’s self, well…. if you were expecting to see a good film, then you had best drop your expectations. Personally I found it 90% boring with 10% mild amusement, with emphasis on the mild. Th ...

Re: Headhunters
Excellent film. Best film I have seen in the last year. Clever plot and the tension kept going right till the end.
Although if I really wanted a job and the recruiter was a bit crooked, simply bribing them might have involved a lot less bother! Still that would have made for a very short film.

Re: The Ides of March
I wonder how true to life all the political horse trading really is that goes on in this film. I suspect sadly that much of it is all too real, where even the most principled people must comprimise in order to get on. It was a good film although I'm not sure it's the kind of film I would recommend ...

Re: The Help
Nice to see an original film and not a remake or sequel. I liked Sissy Spacek as the slightly forgetful mum. Good film well worth seeing.

Re: Footloose
Went to the free screening in Southampton on Saturday morning 8th. The screening was about 90% full. I must admit that I am not a lover of remakes. For a start I have probably seen the original, so I am already familiar with the plot line so already the pleasure in not knowing what will happen at ...
